New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I just finished Cobra Kai. I decided to watch it after seeing the IMDb and rotten tomato ratings on it. Even after seeing the good ratings, I was surprised how good it was. I binged all 10 episodes in almost one sitting. After trying to watch other YouTube Red shows, I can say this is their first real attempt to make high quality tv. I'm looking forward to seeing how good Impluse is, the trailer looks real good.

I've said I thought YouTube Red as the added perk to YouTube tv was fairly useless. If Cobra Kai is them turning the corner to actually tv show instead of giving inexperienced YouTubers money to make tv shows, it will make youtube tv that much of a better deal.

Started watching Killing Eve. The first two episodes were really good. Definitely gonna see this one through, and I've heard it has a great ending.

I really liked Killing Eve. It shouldn't have been a surprise how good it is since Phoebe Waller-Bridge was the creator and executive producer. The two shows she made before, Crashing and Fleabag, were really good too. What surprised me was how little press it got before it came out, if you didn't watch BBC America you wouldn't have known about it.

Started watching November 13- Attack on Paris documentary on Netflix. Pretty solid

I can't get passed the first episode of rain. The kids are so fucking annoying, what happened early on pissed me off and I turned it off.

Yeah, I'm watching it with Mrs. Tip, but I was rooting for both of those kids to die in the first episode. That being said, they both are much better after that first episode. Wife made a good point that I was judging them as a rational adult should have acted, not how freaked-out kids that age might act.

Has anyone else watched Barry on HBO?

Thought it was fantastic.
Barry the movie on Barack? It was on Netflix a while back, not sure if it still is or not.

edit: nvm - I'm guessing you're talking about something else considering this is a tv series thread.

Finished Killing Eve. It was really good. I didn't expect it to be as funny as it was. There's a kid in the last couple of episodes that one of the characters interacts with and basically every single dialogue exchange is solid gold. I was a little put off by the abrupt ending, but I also thought going in that it was a miniseries and not an actual series, so I guess that's partly my fault.

Overall, though, I'd consider it a must watch. It's funny and violent and tense and just a hell of a lot of fun. It was nothing like what I expected, which was a paint by numbers thriller.

I get the confusion, I thought the same thing the first time I saw articles about it. Barry is a HBO comedy with Bill Hader about an assassin who wants to quit and become an actor.

For all the people with YouTube TV or subscribe to YouTube Red (who I don't think exist). I've watched 4 episodes of Impulse. It's been good so far. Like I said about Cobra Kai, I hope this is youtube red's real attempt to make good tv. I think Cobra Kai and Impulse are shows that Netflix, Amazon, or Hulu would really publicize.

I also watched "Ryan Hansen solves crimes on television" which is also YouTube red. It's a decent show but I think it's too geared to Hollywood. It's got some weird jokes about the business and tv production.

I can definately recommend Impulse. It's in the same universe of as the movie Jumper. While not exactly like jumper, it's a mix of jumper and 13 reasons why. It's dark and deals with hard issues while exploring the idea of gaining superhuman powers.

Been watching Staircase on Netflix...

Way too many episodes, it’s starting to drag on. It feels like they could’ve told this story in 3-4 episodes- 13 is overkill

Got any recommendation on Netflix?

I like both the new seasons of Arrested Development and Kimmy Schmidt. They were both cut in half but I thought they were more enjoyable as shorten season.

I also finished season 2 of 13 reasons why. The first 4 episodes were hard to watch, just way too depressing, but it picked up and I ended up binging the last 6-7 in two days.

I'm currently watch Marchella season 2. I liked the first season, the second season seems to be alot different with alot of disturbing imagery. The story is harder to follow and seem alittle scattered. I'm half way thru and will check back in when I finish at.
