New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Finished part 2 of Sabrina. The first 4 episodes of this part/season was pretty bad, I had a real hard time trying to get thru them. It's was like the lean too much toward the teen drama and had no clue how to write it without being extremely generic. After the 4 episode, it got good again and alot darker. It went back to exploring the world of witches and the dark arts, which I think is where this show is the best. I know it suppose to be in the Riverdale universe but when it leans too much to being like Riverdale, it becomes a real annoying show to watch.

Watched the first two episodes of the What We Do In the Shadows series. Great thus far. If you liked the movie (or Thor: Ragnarok, which has the same type of irreverent humor), I highly recommend giving it a watch.

Finished season two of The Tick on Amazon. Loved it. I really like how they're telling a story over the course of entire seasons with this show. Season two did a great job of telling its own story while continuing plot threads from season one and planting seeds for a third season. Just a smartly written show that's also dumb (intentionally) and funny.

It's also impressive that The Tick has had three TV show adaptations and all three of them have been pretty great.

Finally got around to finishing the most recent season of Shameless and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I put off watching the second half of the season because the first half was really underwhelming. It was just way too much of an on the nose political statement to the point that it felt lazy.

The second half, though, ditched all that nonsense and told a really good story.

I'm a few episodes into Ultraman and i'm really enjoying it. It has some of the most impressive HDR i've seen and some incredible action and fight scenes. Fun fact, in China Ultraman is called "Salted Egg."

Just started the 4th and final season of Dexter.

I've already seen John Lithgow's butt two too many times.

The OA season 2 might be the best show I've watched in the last year and a half. It is shot way better than season 1 and it seems to be more thought out. It reminds me of peak seasons of Lost.

It didn't seem like Netflix promoted it hard which is a shame. I didn't even know it came out till a couple days after. I will be very mad if it doesn't get a season 3.

Did you like season 1? I thought it was pretty much trash so I never bothered with season 2.

I did like season one but I thought Brit Marling was in over her head with too much responsibilities with the show. It wasn't as clearly thought out or shot as most shows are. I did think the overall plot was the best part of the OA season 1.

Most of the problems with season 1 were corrected in season 2. The show just feels better produced and less amateurish.

I mean...I have morbid curiosity about how it moves forward. If someone doesn't do a quick recap, I will avoid the urge to peek. I didn't realize there were FOUR more seasons!

I honestly can’t remember too well. Season 5 is meh I think.

I think 6 is horrible with Colin Hanks as the bad guy. Like legit worst season I’ve ever seen. You can def skip this one.

7 is actually pretty solid I thought.

8 sucks pretty bad.

The ending is the worst TV show ending ever. Don't know how you make a show like Dexter and never have the cops have that moment where they figure out who Dexter really is. Just baffling.

@Scholar

STOP once u complete season 5. After that is starts going downhill.

Don't know if you guys are aware, but next season is Supernatural's last. Some of the recent seasons, including the current one, have been kind of weak. But the season finale last night was incredible, and really sets up a great last season. I wouldn't recommend watching the entire season if you abandoned the show, but watching the last episode is definitely worth it. A truly "holy fucking shit" setup for the last season.
