New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The end of Chernobyl sent me into tears. Some of these scenes — specifically the slow-motion evacuation cuts and the burials gripped me insanely hard.

It was rough viewing. The scenes with the victims in the Moscow hospital were just horrifying.

It's one of the finest productions I've ever seen, though. The acting, writing, set design, film work, makeup, etc. is all just perfect. Really deserves to win some awards.

There isn’t a damn thing that I don’t like about this show. It’s absolutely haunting.

Without a ton of thought, and maybe not in order:

1. Seinfeld
2. Cheers
3. The Office
4. Parks and Rec
5. Veep

Don't agree on Parks and Rec, and Veep might be a bit high to me, but I would have to throw in Taxi on my list, and consider putting in Big Bang. Not sure what else I am missing but I will think of it.

I'm in my 40s but don't remember enough about Taxi to list it. I couldn't watch Big Bang Theory any more than a couple episodes. It annoyed me more than amused me. That Cheers/Nightcourt/Family Ties period of TV is about as far as I'd go back in terms of me remembering/"getting" the show.

The most recent season of Bosch was really good. It's definitely the best cop show out there right now. Highly recommend giving it a watch.

I hate Big Bang. Never got it. Never liked its reductive nerd humor. Even though I like comic books, Star Trek/Wars.

Frasier should be considered.

It is the second most highly decorated show in history; only GoT has won more Emmys, Golden Globes and Peabodies. And they only passed Frasier last year.

It has aged better than Cheers, and most of the other 80s/90s sitcoms.

Chuck Lorre shows get that way especially if you try to pick them up mid-way or you stop watching and pick it up a season or two later. They fall back on jokes hyper specific to the characters alot and are built on some repetitive action of the character.

I grew to hate two and a half men after Charlie Sheen was kicked off the show because I stopped watching it regularly and somehow everything felt more repetitive. Same thing with Mike and Molly. I also try to watch Mom when nothing else is on and I always question how it can still be on tv.

Thinking of giving Fargo a run? Maybe I'll take a look at Bosch? I don't watch a lot of TV. Kinda TV depressed after GoT.

Yeah, I really can't stand Big Bang. It's just not my thing. I really don't enjoy sitcoms very much though.

Seinfeld has been my biggest exception. Frasier probably outdid Cheers. It was really strong.

Shows like The Office I thought were okay at first, then got way too redundant for me. I never really got that into it.

Or a show like How I Met Your Mother. Where the punchlines are just too obvious.
