Not Ashamed to Admit We Were Wrong on...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He’ll be just fine, but as was said before the draft he’s a big play guy that isn’t really that efficient beyond the chunk plays he brings.

If I were drafting a guy that early, I’d be a little uneasy of a guy whose going to lead the league in negative yards.

Didn’t we go over the fact that AP lead the league in negative runs the season he broke the rushing record.

I can’t name 5 guys from the 2018 draft I’d rather have on my team than Saquan Barkley.

Not too 5 worthy? Laughable.

So, that's great. But weigh in the draft capital necessary.

I'd MUCH rather have Ward than Barkley. I'd MUCH rather have Baker/Darnold than Barkley.

Okay yes.

Ward/Baker/Darnold/Chubb/Rosen

After that Barkley.

He’s worthy of a top 5 pick.

Nelson and McGlinchey are pretty good too..

And it's not just taking Barkley top 5. It's the fact that their team was barebones and that they could have traded down and still gotten one of those elite prospects (shit, they may have still been able to take Barkley :chuckle: ) in addition to valuable picks to help boost their rebuild.

If they don't nail their draft next year they are beyond fucked. That's the risk you take drafting a RB #2 overall when your team is a bunch of dudes.

A RB is a supplemental player in today's NFL. It's not somebody you build your team around. They aren't going to take you to the Super Bowl. But, on a great team, they could be the difference to help get you over the top. So if a great team was somehow picking in the top 5, then sure, taking Barkley would make sense.

It's honestly hilarious that an undrafted rookie has more rushing yards and averages a full yard per carry (!) more than Barkley. It's a perfect example of why you don't take RBs that high.

You don't see random undrafted QBs, DEs, CBs, OTs, etc playing at the top of their position. You just don't beyond an extremely rare case. Whereas at RB, every year there are random dudes out there providing the production you need out of the position.

Wrong on Michael Thomas, Drew Brees and him are almost unstoppable at this point. The other Michael Thomas that came out that year was more explosive but just didn't catch on with LA.

I haven't been wrong on anyone yet.

Joe Banner, I knew he was a douche and he sucked. I just would have thought he would have went away by now.

2012-I was set on Trent Richardson once we didn't swing for the RG3 deal. Thought T-Rich was going to be the next Adrian Peterson.

Then the Weeden pick happened and I originally thought we could get him at pick 37 but when we took him at 22, I was good with it. Calling him the next Kurt Warner

i also talked myself into the Carlton Mitchell selection in 2010/11? once Mel Kiper called him the next Brandon Marshall
