This is not something we hear every year. In fact, last year was regarded as a good QB class. So was the Goff/Wentz draft.
Also, not every draft has a great QB. 2013 immediately comes to mind.
If this was the Giants' plan, it was a shitty one.
During the Goff/Wentz draft, Goff was a good prospect but by no means a surefire franchise QB and Wentz was almost a completely unknown. We passed on him at two and basically no one here was pissed about it, which should tell you about the consensus as to him as a prospect.
And yes, not every draft has a great QB, but most of them have at least one or two good ones.
I agree it's a dumb plan by the Giants (should have taken Rosen or Darnold, clearly), but I wouldn't be at all surprised if there end up being two or three quality QBs in this draft.
