Offensive Staff Thread (David Lee hired as QB Coach)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Jeff Garcia was the last Browns jersey I bought. The last time I bought into moxie hype.

^Well if we don't get Tyrod, then at least we have a very strong reason to believe that he wasn't good enough to be a part of our future.

For some of the Tyrod naysayers, if we don't get him, that's awesome, given that it means we've got the guy who managed to make him look good. I am with @Randolphkeys in that coaching is a huge component of winning. In that regard, this has to be a good signing, right?

Hopefully we bring in a good FA or one of our drafted QB's turn out to be nice. Otherwise, he may have a heart attack on the sideline.

He used to coach the QBs for the Jets and had an influential role in bringing the wildcat to the team. Also was OC in Miami when they implemented the Wildcat. If the Browns pick-up TT, you've got to believe that they're going to draft someone with similar traits. Especially mobility.

When Lee was coaching in Dallas under Parcells, his QBs were Quincy Carter, Vinny Testeverde, and Drew Bledsoe. He coached Ryan Fitzpatrick a couple times under Chan Gailey. Lee is a lifer. He can adapt to different philosophies, even if the wildcat was his baby.

Well it sounds like if we do not target Tyrod Taylor then there is issues with him behind the scenes. It is nice to see us bring in a veteran coach though as well since we will have a very young roster once again in 2017. Right now we have RG3, Kessler and Hogan. With a lot of picks I see us drafting on day three another QB/bringing in Taylor/trading for a Grappolo. Does anyone have an idea what would be a type of QB that fits both Jackson's and Lee's style? I think that could give us a really good answer who we will target as a QB

Look at the list, some of the most non mobile qb's of all time are on that list including Drew Bledsoe and Chad Pennington.

It appears to me he really doesnt have a type and works with what he is given.

Come on, Pat Mahomes...
