Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Cudi's new album leaked...there's some good songs on it. Definitely the best music he's put out in years. Andre 3000 delivered on it too.

Listening to it right now. I love it. Has some "different" type of tracks that someone might not like if they aren't fans of Travis Scott or Childish Gambino's style or Kanye's TLOP and Yeezus albums. I personally think this blows J. Cole's new album away... which was a huge letdown. I mean, my avatar says it all, I'm a huge Cudi fan. Nice to see him getting back to making good music.

The more I listen, the more I'm liking it. There's a few tracks I don't care for but overall this is a good album. Way better than anything he's released since MOTM2, IMO. Very happy about it, I absolutely loved Cudi's music back in those days. I'll be listening to this on loop for quite awhile.

I agree, this makes up for Cole & Ab-Soul's albums being shit.

What tracks off Cudi's new album would u guys recommend? I'm more of a soul rap, concept song guy myself....

Definitely. Much like most albums, there are going to be some "throw away" tracks, but I found myself liking the majority of it. As you said, it's his best work since MOTM2. Indicud was actually okay, IMO, it had some songs on there I did like and still do like, but it still left a lot to be desired. Satellite Flight, WZRD, and Speeding Bullet were all really bad.

I've only given it one full listen so far, but the ones I really liked: By Design, Frequency, All In, Baptized in Fire, Surfin, The Guide, and Rose Golden.

Andre 3000 and Travis Scott were great in their features.

Posted this is the movie thread, but thought it might be relevant for old heads and younger rap fans in here as well...

I don't know if anyone in here knows who Stretch & Bobbito are, but they were a DJ/host duo that came on the scene in NYC during the early 90's/golden age of the genre. They ran what was essentially a college radio station that was extremely ground breaking in that they introduced an amazing amount of folks to the public for the first time, including Biggie, Nas, Jay-Z, Wu-Tang, etc... There's a classic Big L & Jay freestyle session that has been listened to/viewed on Youtube over a million times that came from their show. As a kid I had a a bunch of their shows on tape.

Anyways, Netflix is showing a new doc based on their careers, interviewing tons of artists and discussing the importance of their show. If anyone finds any of that interesting, I highly recommend.

10/10 just for the nostalgia alone.

You guys disappointed with 4 your eyes only surely must admit that the song 4 your eyes only is one of Cole's best songs ever, right?

Also anyone who features Andre 3000 I respect.

They're really swallowing their pride because every time he has a guest appearance he steals the show to the point that I can't even remember the original artist.

3 stacks don't fuck around on the features.

Lupe finally escapes the clutches of major label demands and he makes a mediocre trap album. Last straw.

Mediocre is probably putting it nicely. I did like that intro and the song with Ross & Krit though.
