Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm obsessed with 'ye' at this point. Love it more with every listen.

One listen through 'Kids See Ghosts' so far. It was ok, but hopefully it grows on me.

Kanye has been fucking working though, shit. 'Daytona' was great. 'ye' is incredible. His Nas and Teyana Taylor albums are due out the next two weeks. Sheesh.

I'm the exact opposite. I think 'ye' is terrible. It's best song has a chorus written by Drake, who isn't even credited.

My rule is 3 plays through before I can make a ruling. KSG>>>>Ye for me. Digging the short albums, too. KSG samples are fire, especially 4th dimension.

Completely agree. Thought Ye was garbage. I love KSG. And I thought Daytona was very good.

I'm really loving KSG.

I know we got more hip hop fans around here...what do yall think about these 3 albums (Daytona, Ye, KSG)? Curious to hear some opinions

Haven't really had a chance to listen to Daytona more than once. I enjoyed it tho. Pusha always makes good albums.

I like Ye. I didn't like it right away and I think it's too short but I've listened to it a lot and now I think it's great. Probably obvious but it feels very rushed. I like how personal Ye got with it. Liked the change of direction.

KSG is awesome. I vibed with it immediately. Cudi is my favorite artist ever and him and Ye are like peanut butter and chocolate. I've listened to this album pretty much nonstop since it came out. I feel like this is the old kanye on this album. Killer production/sampling and lyrics we all know kanye for. Cudi is probably the best he's been in a long time. Reborn sounds like motm Era Cudi. Shoutout plain pat and ratatat. Bringing out the best in Cudi. I wish it was longer. I love it.

Yes!! Serious MOTM era vibes with this album. Some of Cudi's best stuff. Reborn is probably top 5 Cudi.

Only had the chance to listen through KSG once, but there were a few standouts already. I'll delve into it deeper soon, but it also has a few Cudi / Kanye mannerisms that take me out of it. When Cudi gets into his crooning and emphasizes notes a bit too much it just sounds corny. Anyway, more listens soon.

Ye is pretty good and although nothing can reach the glory days of Kanye's first three albums and MBDTF, this is still better than a large amount of the rap output today. For one, the production remains impeccable and even the most ardent Kanye haters can't take that away from him. I'm hearing a little of the Yeezus minimalism, but just without the abrasiveness sonics and yelps. One friend argued it was "Pablo B-sides", and I can subscribe to that, but I prefer this one over that release. Ye was a rushed album (supposedly), but still feels lean without much filler. I really like the narrative here, as emphasized by the album cover. If Yeezus was the celebrity / ego monster and TLOP was a little bit of redemption and introspection, then Ye is the 12-step (or 7 step) program of a egomaniac coming to grips with mental illness and their own line of thinking. That opening track sets the impression of the bi-polar narcissist, and that motif continues throughout.

I agree with everybody that "Yikes" is the standout. That beat and hook are killer. I'm not a fan of "All Mine" but that's because it has a dopey line about Kanye looking at his wife's rack and that squeaky hook. The former is a constant Kanye complaint; he can be witty, but he always has a groaner that kills it all. That "bleached asshole" bar from "Father Stretch My Hands" is in the same category. Anyway, I need to listen more, but I think for those wanting the "old Kanye" this might be a step in the right direction.

Daytona (for my money) is superior over Ye in every way. We get the A+ production ("If You Know, You Know" and ") and an artist who comes with the BARS. Pusha can rap all day about his drug dealing lifestyle, but the difference is he always comes with layers. The beats slap and I appreciate the word play, that's my preferred hip hop. I know "Infared" has gotten the most attention, but I'd actually say that's one of the weakest tracks of the bunch. I could go on, but I'd say this is the best release by King Push in years. I wonder if he could maintain that over a longer release.

New Future album is a motherfucking banger.

Expected nothing less really after Super Slimey.

Patiently waiting for Nasir to drop on Spotify.

Hearing great things.

Kid was a human piece of shit. No one should be gunned down like that. But reading about what he did when it came to violence on his girlfriend and others. Fuck that dude
It's complicated. The ex gf is devastated, I he put on a concert and the proceeds went to charities for victims of domestic abuse. I've seen some clips and it's astonishing how introspective That guy is considering what he did. There is lots and lots of video evidence of the guy being a good guy.

Just complicated. Not saying one thing outweighs the other but there is a calculus to consider. He has an entire album dedicated to helping people through mental illness

Some of his music is really good.
