Open Discussion (Cavs + related issues)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
When these 10 guys are on the court without mixing in any of the other riff-raff from this season, our numbers are ridiculous.

Hill
Korver
James
Green
Love
Clarkson
Calderon
Nance
Hood
Osman

ORtg - 120.7 (Rockets are #1 in the league at 115.2)
DRtg - 106.1 (This would makes us 6th in the league)

Only two guys have TS%'s under 60.0, Hood at 56.6, and Green at 59.1

In other words, we're historically good on offense and good on defense.

That should be our playoff rotation but I bet Lue will sub JR Smith for Osman or Calderon.

Seriously? They couldn't peak at a better time.

They should be the favorites to represent the East at this point.
It's not like they're completely devoid of any Playoff experience either.
Bellinelli played on a championship team.
JJ Redick has played on a couple playoff teams, including the Magic team that went to the finals.
Johnson's been on Playoff teams as well, as has Erysan.

Yes, I am serious. You're talking about a team that has main pieces with 0 playoff experience. I can see them getting to the ECF, because they got the easier matchups, but I would be shocked if they beat the cavs (if healthy) in a series.

Replacing Osman with JR in this 10 man grouping and our ORtg drops to 116.4, still awesome, and our DRtg rises to 109.1, which would drop to 16th in the league.

I see somebody asked about sample size.

w/JR this is over 738 minutes
w/Osman it was over 478 minutes

Yo nigga, the Cavs better not get swept while those bum Celtics coast to the second round. That’s too much for this OG to take. I swear, I’ll start smokin’ crack again....

Unpopular take:

Should of kept Rose, Crowder & Wade. They're playoff performers and know what the playoffs are about. Sure they can't do it for 82 games but their experience and knowhow would of been invaluable

I don't think there was any reason to keep Crowder. We thought he was a multi-positional forward when we traded for him but he truely was just a SF. He had the most playing time out of anyone to make the adjustment and couldn't make it.

Rose couldn't stay healthy but I do think he was the most willing to fit in on and off the court. We will never know how bad of a locker room issue Wade was. Unlike IT he wasn't actively shitting on the team or the situation to the media. We do know Wade showed to fit in the best on the court though.

At the end of the day, I do think they should have kept one of either Wade or Rose. They were both better options than Okaro White and Perkins.

I'm with you on Wade.

Rose is no more of a playoff performer than Calderon or Hill, and his game didn't fit a lick.

Crowder has always been a worse player when the playoffs roll around. He's not what I would call a playoff performer at all.

I never knew this tape even existed. Sounds like old Hamburger doing the game. Too bad Chones broke his foot that year...

The one team that I have said all season scares me the most in the East, and we get them in the 1st round. Awesome....

We matchup so bad vs the Pacers. They haven't just beaten us three times this year. They annihilated us three times. LeBron is going to have to average 35, 10, 10 from out of the gate. Could easily see a 7 game series in the first round.

Collison>>Hill
Oladipo>>>Hood
LeBron>>>>>Bogdanovic
Young>Green
Love>>Turner

Bench=bench

Can't say I'm surprised. Everyone else was more worried about the Heat or Bucks. Have to admit I was wrong about the matchups somewhat though after Bogdanovic outplayed LeBron, and they clearly have the better bench... Still think it's going 7, but not at all confident about that. Have this eerie feeling we may get ran out of the building Sunday. Knock on wood.

Ditched Wade for Cedi only not to play him in these games.

Swap Cedi for Hood or Green and I think you win this game.

Those 2 have sucked the worst. Time to reduce their minutes

It's easy to tell when national NBA writers really haven't watched many Cavs games when they have Cedi Osman as a throw in a potential trade idea for Cj Mcollum http://www.theringer.com/nba/2018/4...rail-blazers-damian-lillard-cj-mccollum-trade

Different versions of this deal have been tossed around for two years now. Love would hurt Portland’s defense, but he could improve offensive spacing and provide a secondary source of playmaking. I’ve never been a fan of Love for Portland, but the Nets pick changes the equation, since the Blazers would be in range for an instant-impact rookie wing like Mikal Bridges or a potential franchise-changer like Michael Porter Jr. or Marvin Bagley III. This deal might strike the best balance for the Blazers, while the Cavs would be incentivized to bolster their backcourt to appeal to LeBron James.

Lillard spoke to Allen because he wants to compete for championships, but right now the Blazers aren’t as close as a 3-seed should feel. Drastic steps must be taken to close the gap. Olshey said in February that the 2017-18 season is only the third year of a “three-to-five year rebuild.” If he’s genuine about that timeline, there’s no shame in taking one step back now to take one big leap forward next year and beyond.

In the same article he proposes Harrison Barnes for Cj Mcollum as a potential trade.

Apparently Harrison Barnes= Kevin Love, the Brooklyn pick, and Cedi.
