Oh I'm not doubting ACC is the best conference, because they are year in and year out.

Althought the big ten this year does have 2 teams in the top 7.

ACC is a bit down this year imo though.

The Big Ten is good in basketball, but they're a football conference. The ACC is good in football (well, most years anyway), but they're a basketball conference. Nuff' said.

Game Day is in town this weekend for a nationally televised match with Sparty. I'm jacked, as I haven't got to see the last couple games.

Me either. I dont want to fork out more money to see college basketball when Im not that big of a fan of it.

I hear what you're saying, but there are only so many games we're going to get to see Oden playing for the Buckeyes. He's got me seriously tempted to shell out the cash.

Did you follow the team at all during that 99 season when we went to the final four???

Im still bitter that Scoonie Penn didnt have his real jersey and he sucked because of it, and as a result they lost to uconn.

Sure did. I won the March Madness pool that year, and did it with only having OSU make it to the sweet 16! Never heard that about Scoonie's jersey.

Some how he/equipment manager left it in C-bus. Its just a number, but he had worn that number his entire life and the commentators made it a big deal.

My legs were literally shaking for a couple of minutes after that one. I was screaming at my TV GUARD THE 3 GUARD THE 3. When they got that open 3 i put my arms down ready for defeat, and when it missed I went screaming down my hallway.

Great game, but we should have put them away.

I watched this one as well. I think we're in the middle of a stretch were 4 or 5 straight OSU games are nationally televised. (Thank you, Mr. Oden. I doubt that would happen without you.) The game was closer than the final score would indicate. Purdue hung with the Buckeyes for over 30 minutes. Having said that, OSU led virtually the entire game, and at no point did it ever feel like they were in any trouble.

A few positives: One, due to foul trouble Oden wasn't a factor, yet OSU still won handily, on the road, against a tough Big Ten team.

Two, Jamar Butler is coming on. Even with Dials getting conference POY last year, I'd say Butler was the best player on the team. Well, this year his game has dropped off, and he's been the 4th or 5th best player on the team. With the way the last couple games have gone, and especially last night, it looks like that's about to change. I expect him to be one of the Buckeyes top 3 players (along with Oden and Conley) from here on out, and that is huge. The light going on for Butler is like adding a stud to this team OSU didn't have earlier in the year.

Three, Wisky lost to the Hoosiers last night. Now, OSU is tied for first, and they control their own destiny in regards to the conference championship. Best of all, the rematch with the Badgers is at home.
 
the reffs were awful in my opinion. the second or third foul on Oden was awful, which sat him for the the rest of the half.

then they called a couple of traveling calls that were bogus.
 
That nietzel guy has ripped us a new one both games now.

Once again the officails suck. THe dont know how to officate Oden.

Oden with 6 blocks. The Buckeyes as a team with 12 blocks. UM with 1 measly block. UM was close on the score board most of the game, but while watching it you got the sense the Buckeyes were just toying with the Wolverines. At any time they could turn it on and get what they needed.

OSU has now won four straight against Michigan and 11 of the last 14 in the series.

If you're a Michigan fan, how are you not embarrassed? It's one thing to lose a couple close games to a rival, but what if your rival just completely outclasses you? It was like men playing with boys out there tonight.

UM hasn't even been to the big dance in almost 10 years. Pretty sad.
