OSU recruit better than Lebron...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

But he should be a stud for OSU. What really would have helped him was playing next to Oden...but I doubt that happens.

Just an interesting point. Oden said he will only enter the draft when he is sure that he can come in and make an immidiate impact. So if OSU doesn't win it all this year, I could see him coming back for one more to show everyone what he can do for a year.

Yeah Mac we know all about this kid.He is their whole team.

There is a small chance he'll return for another year....like a 100,000,000 to 1. Seriously, he can say that all he wants. But when it is explained to him in the summer that he could sign 100M in endorsements before he even steps foot on the floor, he is gone. There is far too much at stake to risk playing another year.

Oden wont get that much in endorsments, nobody pays big men that much money, he isnt even dominating on the college level, oden is not going to have some LeBron kind of Lebron type impact.

Nobody pays big men that much money? Tell that to Nene.

Who said he had to make an impact with The King did? Basically, he wants to refine his skills to he can start or get the majority of minutes. He feels like he can do that this year, he's gone. (He also mentioned his left hand has really came along and he want's to work on that). Odds are he's outta here.

Nobody pays Big Men big endorsements is what i said, when was the last time you saw some Air NeNe's? he will come into the league, get the money the first 5 or 10 picks get, $5-7 Million and thats that. I dont see him coming out with a Signature shoe like LeBron did...

Well then yes, you are correct.

Oden seems to be a huge marketing tool though. Big O seems to stick with ESPN, but you're probably right.

you arent really getting what im saying, there arent flocks of companys willing to dish out big bucks for big men to be the face of companys, Tim Duncan is one of the best players that we have seen come along in the past 10 years, but who the hell wants to buy something with also one of the most boring players out there? not me. Oden is a pretty good ball player, but he lacks any kind of persoanlity that would make him be someone advertisers drool over. when lebron was like a junior, you KNEW in a few years, his face would be everywhere, and his shoes would be everywhere. Oden doesnt have that same potential. look at some other big men...

Yao, Ben Wallace, Tim Duncan, Chris Bosh, Dwight Howard, Dirk...those guys arent getting any kind of huge shoe deals or anything. Oden wont either. I go on sneaker websites all the time, and nobody is wondering "when is the Oden I coming out?" when it was lebron, everyone wanted to know who, what, when, why how about lebrons shoe.

Shaq does shoes for Payless, and Shaq has a personality, and has charecter, Shawn Kemp was a dunker and got fame from that, nobody sits around and says "jeez, shawn kemp had a nice fadeaway inside prescense" or good post moves, all Kemp could do was Dunk and reproduce like some sort of small rodent.

Shawn Kemp had mad game...definently one of the best bigs in our time.

But I agree, bigs just dont get endorsements. KG has had some success, but he has bounced around all three shoe companies. Shaq could never sell his shoe and really...I cant think of any big man that has had a nice shoe.

I have Amare Stoudemire's Airmax 360's.Probably the most comfortable shoe I have ever played in.

You would think Dwight Howard could get some deals, but hes to humble of a guy. He's going to be unreal in several year when he deveoples a jump shot.
