Do we know why he was fired? Were the allegations true if him pushing players to far when injured?

Wade USA Today defensive Player of the Year, leads OSU commits

The “2016 ALL-USA Today Team: Defense” is out. And the star-studded group is led by future Ohio State Buckeye Shaun Wade. The 5-star defensive back has been named “Player of the Year.”

During Wade’s senior season he made 63 tackles, intercepted seven passes, accounted for 690 all-purpose yards, and had six receiving touchdowns in leaded Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian to a state championship.

Wade joins a very prestigious list of past winners of the “Player of the Year” award. That group includes current college players Jabrill Peppers, Trent Thompson and Rashan Gary as well as current NFL players Su’a Cravens, Mario Edwards Jr., Jadeveon Clowney, Lamarcus Joyner, Manti T’eo, Patrick Peterson and Gerald McCoy.

Wade was not the only future Buckeye honored. Making the second team were defensive end Chase Young and linebacker Baron Browning, both 5-star Ohio State commitments.

In addition to Wade, also making first team were defensive back Jeffrey Okudah who will announce his college choice at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Jan. 7 and is considered by many to be a huge Buckeye lean.

Ohio State defensive tackle target Marvin Wilson is on the first team as well. Defensive back Darnay Holmes, who like Okudah plans to announce at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and is thought by many to be a Buckeye lean, is on the second team.

Tate Martell named USA Today's Offensive player of the year.

That's fun.

Marvin Wilson officially eliminated Texas. Has USF in there b/c of Charlie Strong.

LSU favorite. Would be nice to snag. Maybe once Okudah announces on Jan. 7th, he can try and sway him over. Texas boys.

Bump from Dec. 1

You may understand why soon.

Couldn't help, but think of this while driving to work this morning and hearing about Beck..

So it's a forgone conclusion we get Okudah on Saturday and very likely we also get Holmes. My biggest hope though, is that the OSU players there try to recruit Tufele to OSU. He's a beast.

Okudah is the other person.

First time I've ever known who a prospects roommate was going to be before he even commits to the school.

He's already enrolled.....which is why they can do that. You can find him in Ohio States registry already....

Someone on BuckeyePlanet said when you search for Okudah in the staff and student directory, his whole profile (OSU email, major) comes up :chuckle:

This must have been adjusted because I just tried and struck out.

Not looking good on the Holmes front. Everything I've read seems to indicate that he wants to go to OSU, but his family wants him closer to home. The most dialed in analysts are expecting him to pick USC tomorrow at the US Army All American Bowl.

Get to know the name Kendall Sheffield. JUCO CB prospect who was on the roster at Alabama his freshman season. Was very highly regarded as a prep prospect and is ranked as a five star and top JUCO player in the nation by Scout.
