Patriots owner big fan of cheating

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It wasn't obtained illegally, that is a huge leap from a video being thrown out of court. They got a search warrant, they obtained it legally.

Remember to own a team in the NFL you give away allot of your civil right to them, players too. The league will have no problem getting what they need, Kraft I am sure signed something they can do this, its why they always find out.

If a court orders it suppressed, it cannot legally be released to the public. Do you understand that?

Agreed, but NFL is not public. Its employer, who has a waiver you signed.

The NFL makes you sign your life away to play for it or own a team. Do you understand that?

They don't have a waiver to sign that overrides the law

Law no, but the tape wasn't given to the law illegally, and they can get the tape from the shop owner too, she has it legally and the league can just give her money.

Just because a tape cant be used in a specific court case doesn't mean it doesn't exist, was obtained illegally or cant find the hands of the NFL.

The tape will get in the NFL's hands somehow, someway, it always does. Heck they might have a copy already.

You know, I was going to respond substantively to this, but I'll bow to your clearly superior knowledge of the relevant law, and your careful review of NFL ownership agreements.

Have a Blessed Day!

What gives you any indication that these guys give a fuck about public opinion?

To me this the worst part of you get caught. The punishment is pretty small from the law standpoint. The part that punishes or try’s to get people to not do it, is the public image. Forgot about just Kraft, the lives of all the men they caught will take a public shaming from those they know.

I get the argument has become pointless, as my main point is that the NFL will find a way to view the tapes, maybe TMZ gets their hands on them and hands them over, its not like the tapes will disappear, the owner has a copy, cops still have a copy, its out there, Kraft will be suspended and fined by the NFL.

Do you think when Kraft has to go to NY to talk to the league Goddell and the rest of the board believes for one second that Kraft was at an Asian Massage Parlor to actually get a Massage?

Come on, you are smarter than this. The league doesn't need a court system to fine or suspend an owner or player, they are Judge, Jury and Executioner. Sure Kraft can appeal, but its a waste of money, the NFL will win on this one.

I think the NFL acts when it is forced to act by public opinion, or by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. For example, I think the NFL would have been much happier if the Kareem Hunt video had never become public in the first place.

If there is a court order forbidding the police from disclosing the video tape of Kraft they created, and there is not otherwise a conviction, the NFL is going to be more than happy to let it go at that point and decline to take action because they were not able to review the evidence. Nor do I think there is the remotest chance in hell that the NFL is going to be complicit in trying to obtain a video if it was sealed by court order.

You clearly believe otherwise, so....

Have a Blessed Day!

Agreed on Hunt.

But the public has been made aware of the Kraft situation too, so its not like the league can be passive if it wants, and Goddell hates Kraft now so will come at him full force.

There most likely wont be a court order forbidding the police from disclosing the video, as that is not a suppression. That said, the owner still has the video and you know TMZ is going to buy a copy. The owner has no morals clearly and will sell a copy of the tape for money.

I am not sure you know what really happens when something is "sealed" but the tape still exists in private hands anyways. Its a digital copy, its not like she had to erase her video tape, its still her tape.

It is legalized in Las Vegas, which Robert Kraft can afford. He decided to go cheap and illegal.
Dude aint flying to Vegas in the afternoon just for a massage+handy. Hes a billionaire for a reason.

The cameras did not belong to the establishment, but rather were put in place surreptitiously by the police pursuant to a warrant. They are therefore neither private property, nor in the hands of private citizens.

Whether or not the lawyers are successful at persuading the judge 1) that the tapes should not be admitted as evidence, and 2) that they should not be released, is a separate question. Tapes used in a criminal investigation normally are released to the public after a case is concluded, and that almost always happens if the tapes were actually used as evidence. I'm not aware of any exceptions to that.

If the tapes were not used as evidence because the judge excluded them, then whether or not the tapes are released to the public may depend on the reason they were excluded. I am personally aware of instances in which recordings/tapes/photos obtained by police during the course of a case were sealed permanently from public view.

I'm really tired of going around in circles with you, so...

Have a Blessed Evening!
