It depends on how your league is scored. Are you a point per reception league? If so, Forte's receptions are going to make that deal worth it for you. Forte is supposed to be losing his goal line work to Micheal Bush, so you have to take lower touchdown opportunities into consideration as well. BG&E is going to be doing Cedric Benson things on that Bengals roster - he's the only running back worth a crap on the roster.

no.. its scored 1 point for every 10 yards rushing/receiving...

I don't feel like I will use BenJarvus much with Richardson and Matthews on the roster... he would only be a bye week filler..
But I will try an look for a better deal..

EDIT: New offer is Steve Smith, Rashard Mendenhall and Kenny Britt for Forte... Yay or nay? Im doing this.

I'd say this offer is worse than the first.

mendenhall is out for at least the first month no?

Either you haven't played fantasy football long, or you've been lucky. I usually get an injury it two to my top two backs every year. Playing in dynasty leagues and 16 team re drafts... depth becomes important.

I'm not just talking a season ending injury. But a few missed games here and there and your backup can easily be starting half the season.

No joke. a #1 back is still a #1 back. I wonder where he's going in most drafts.

I got pick #10 what is my best option?? im hoping Chris Johnson falls to me otherwise i think im going to go with Stafford.

10 team standard. I'd like to shore up my WR by giving up an RB, but WR is just such a crapshoot outside of Megatron I don't know who to target. I really wanted Matt Ryan late, but someone took him in the 5th as a backup QB (?!?!?), but I'm coming around on Rivers.

I made a bunch of trades to pick up extra picks and overall got pretty lucky (I think), but hopefully this helps someone get a better idea of what to expect...

1.5 (5th overall) LeSean McCoy RB PHI
2.3 (13th overall) Chris Johnson RB TEN
4.6 (36th overall) Steven Jackson RB STL
4.7 (37th overall) Ryan Mathews RB SD
4.10(40th overall)Hakeem Nicks WR NYG
5.1 (41st overall) Aaron Hernandez TE NE
5.4 (44th overall) Mike Wallace WR PIT
6.7 (57th overall) Eric Decker WR DEN
7.4 (64th overall) Miles Austin WR DAL
8.7 (77th overall) Philip Rivers QB SD
8.10(80th overall)Michael Bush RB CHI
9.4 (84th overall) Robert Meachem WR SD
10.7 (97th overall)Sebastian Janikowski K OAK
11.4 (104th overall)Ben Roethlisberger QB PIT
12.7 (117th overall)Detroit Lions TM DET
13.4 (124th overall)Toby Gerhart RB MIN

I like CJ2K and McFadden about the same at 10. Not sure if you have 10 or 12 teams, but even if it's 12 you'd have a shot at Stafford in the 2nd round.

You need to start talking trades as soon as somebody's running back goes down with an injury, Henry. Your wide receivers are the Powerball special: a few lottery tickets that may or may not pan out. You need a second defense as well, because the Lions are only going to help you out half the games of the season.

Posted this in another thread, but here you go. This isn't my main league with my buddies, that one hasn't drafted yet. I just hopped in on this one to satiate myself a bit and get some practice in.

Does anyone here have an opinion on drafting a dominant QB early? If I land the number 1 pick in my league I'm going to seriously consider taking Rodgers.

Edit: I just joined a public league on a whim and drafted. 10 teams I picked 4th.

QB: Aaron Rodgers
RB: Darren McFadden
RB: Trent Richardson
WR: Steve Smith
WR: Antonio Brown
TE: Jimmy Graham
Flex: Demaryius Thomas
DEF: Texans
K: Mason Crosby
BEN: C.J. Spiller
BEN: Donald Brown
BEN: Reggie Wayne
BEN: Titus Young
BEN: Owen Daniels
BEN: Ryan Fitzpatrick
BEN: Greg Little

What do you think? I'm not sure how I feel about it.

I'd go to war with that group. I would also be looking for RB, QB, and Def depth.

Yep, I'm essentially waiting for the inevitable injuries to happen before I make my move for depth. Some schmuck laughed at me for taking Brown ahead of Wallace. He'll soon learn.

Id bet my left testicle Brown has a better year than Steve Smith.
