Post Draft advice-Fantasy Football

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Got the first pick in my draft with me and 9 other friends.

My line up looks like this:

QB: Tony Romo
RB: Arian Foster
RB: Matt Forte
WR: Andre Johnson
WR: Victor Cruz
TE: Brandon Pettigrew
W/R: Frank Gore

BN: Ryan Fitzpatrick
BN: Ben Roethlisberger
BN: DeAngelo Williams
BN: Vincent Jackson
BN: Miles Austin
BN: Brent Celek

K: Mason Crosby

DEF: Houston Texans

Tell me what you think. I know I probably shouldn't be carrying 3 QB's, also I'm pretty loaded with RB's. I think it looks alright for now though, have a lot of trade bait when players start going down.

Not bad, but Ryan Fitzpatrick makes no sense at all. I'd drop him for another defense immediately. With two defenses, you can pick who has an easier matchup that week and start the team who will likely stack up more sacks/turnovers.

Exactly what I was thinking. But while I was looking at my QB's I noticed that Romo (playing in the NFC East) and Roethlisberger (in the AFC North) would be going up against some damn good defenses often, so I figured Fitzpatrick would be a guy I can use when he plays crap defenses like Miami, New England, etc etc.

But, picking up a defense is probably a better idea, I just don't know which one....

Had mine yesterday 14 team ppr

Philip River
Arian Foster
Trent Richardson
Wes Welker
Dez Bryant
Jacob Tamme
Titus Young
Dwayne Bowe

Robbie Gould
Oakland's D (raider fan, prolly just pick up best matchup available)

I think I'm loaded for a 14 team league

Sneaky good starters. Is you bench only two players deep? That is strange. If so, having Young and Bowe on the bench is repetitive.

I just took a risk and traded D. Bowe and Peyton Hillis for Mike Williams (TB) and Trent Richardson.

Thing is, it makes Trent my Flex in my 12 teamer (PPR):

QB: Brees
RB: CJ?K
RB: Adrian Peterson
WR: AJ Green
WR: Percy Harvin
WR: Nate Washington
FLEX: Richardson
TE: Jared Cook
D/ST: Raiders D (stream)
K: Hanson (Det.)

Bench: Ben Tate, Greg Little, Amendola, Mike Williams (TB), Gresham, Josh Freeman.

I had someone propose me Torrey Smith and Reggie Wayne for Percy Harvin. Do it?

Alright I just drafted. I had a pretty interesting draft. I drafted pretty risky. It was a 12 man league, start 1 QB 2 RB 2 WR 1 Flex 1 TE 1 K 1 D. It was through nfl.com so Im not to sure on the details of scoring. Im assuming just standard. This is the first time I have used nfl.com. I usually use Fox Sports. Anyway, my team:

QB: Phillip Rivers
RB: Adrian Peterson
RB: Trent Richardson
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Stevie Johnson
TE: Dustin Keller
Flex: Shonn Greene
K: Neil Rackers
DEF: Giants

Bench:
Joe Flacco
Roy Helu
Bernard Scott
Randy Moss
Jared Cook
Houston Texans

I took the risk and drafted Trent Richardson second round. Not sure how that will pan out but I have heard good things about him. I don't live close to Ohio, so I am sure you guys have a better feel for him than I do. I drafted AP like 3rd or 4th round. Again, another risk since he is hurt or whatever. Randy Moss is a pretty big risk too. I have no idea how that will pan out. So yea, go big or go home is my motto right now. Probably go home :chuckles:

This is the one year I didn't do any research or keep up with anything so I pretty much was just winging it. First time I have did a draft that big too. But like 90 percent of my team is injured right now, so I have no idea what to put as my starting line up. The only thing that I think is weak is my TE, but I think it is solid when healthy. My team has a lot of potential. But yea, no idea about my starting line up. I need some help here.

I don't think Forte has as much value as in the past unless you're in a PPR league. Michael Bush will vulture a lot of his TDs and be a good pick if he slips.

exactly Im going to laugh at people who still take him in the first round.

When you took Moss what other receivers were left, Im guessing you still had a shot at lesser #1s like denarious moore and justin blackman probably greg little as well. In later rounds Im a much bigger fan of taking a lesser #1 than a 2 or 3 on a good team.

I have a couple drafts on sunday and Ill post the breakdown. I did a couple mocks where I have the first pick (already determined I have this pick in one of my leagues) Ill post those and you guys could let me know what you think.

Again Im the first pick in all of these mocks but let me know what you think.

We have 2 Flex players. My bench is rotten(6 guys). I don't want to put them but oh well.

Denarious Moore
Tim Tebow....Was running out of time and drunk...karma
Knowshon Moreno-buddy told me hes a sleeper but i think hes like the 3rd rb in denver...idk
Jacoby Ford...Raider
Evan Royster-Just picked him up heard both helu's achilies' are bothering him. Could end up starting early.
Taiwan Jones-Should be the 2nd RB behind DMC.

It's tough with all those starters in a 14 team league and get a decent bench. I f'd that tebow pick up bad tho hah

I don't think so, I took Moss pretty late. Like 2nd or 3rd to last round. My bench is pretty weak considering half my team is injured. I'm thinking about dropping Jared Cook for another RB or even a different TE. I don't know much about him. Or maybe I should package Keller and a RB for a good TE. I don't even know who Helu is, but I played with him on the Madden demo and I was suprised he had a higher rating than Hightower. He must be good? These questions are directed at anyone that has advice :)

Id drop keller before I dropped cook

That is going way to far lol. Right now I am trying to trade Shonn Greene and Bernard Scott for Fred Jackson. Shonn Greene and Fred Jackson are ranked pretty close together actually. Projected about the same. Im thinking about offering Stevie Johnson and maybe someone else for Andre Johnson. Andre is ranked lower than usual and is predicted to be somewhat of a bust for some reason? But from what I know, Andre Johnson is a freakin beast, so I don't know.

Andre Johnson is a monster. Someone would have to package a high second round quality RB for me to trade him for a Stevie Johnson package.

Need to keep only two of these three in a 10 team league: Hillis, Hightower, Hardesty. I have Richardson which is the only reason this is a question. Also...am i interested in jacquizz?
