Pre-Season Game 5 Cavs @ Magic

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
At least Caldron shows some effort, the opposite of Shump.

Channing doesn't have playing time to be stolen.

The bottom 4 guys on the roster are Channing/Calderon/Cedi/Ante(in no order) Barring injury, rest games, and/or trade, those 4 are barely playing once the season begins.

I don't think the gap between Jeff Green and those four is all that big. One of Green/Frye/Calderon/Osman/Zizic will get regular rotation minutes until IT returns from injury, and right now that last rotation spot seems more or less up for grabs.

I mean, preseason and all, but Orlando ran their starters out for the first 10 minutes of the 3rd qtr and our end of the bench crew(Calderon, Shump, Ante, Korver, Green, Cedi, Holland) outscored them 36-23

That is a 26 win team, tops.

Green tonight looks like trash but it's a totally different situation when he shares the floor with LeBron or Rose. Unless he totally tanks, he'll be ahead of Channing all season.

I don't think Lue would've started Frye tonight if he were 100% sure he'd be out of the rotation :conf (11):

Unless one of them is vastly outplaying the other, I imagine they'll both be in and out of the rotation depending on matchups.

I think he started Channing to keep Korver, Green, JR, and TT together on the second unit to continue to get used to playing together. Didn't see it as a sign on pecking order at all.

They're going to be better than people think.

Better than last years team, and that team won 29 games.

Shump is trash. Hopefully he has been getting a lot of playing time to increase his trade value.

Really like holland. Hope we see him in the regular season.

Alright, I'll chalk it up to preseason then or just the general poor state of the lower half of the EC.

Because their starting lineup losing the third qtr by 10+ pts at home to Calderon, Shump, Korver, Green, Ante doesn't exactly scream improved team to me.
