Pursuing Lance Stephenson this off-season

Why is this even a discussion this year? There is no need for him. JR and Shumpert fill the role much better and Lance has to have the ball in his hands to be effective. And it's one of two positions (SG and PF) we already have great depth at. Re-sign JR and Shumpert and use the Haywood contract to add depth to the center and/or SF position.

I think he gets brought up because he's one of the few guys that could be had in a pure salary dump for Haywood's deal. I agree that he's not perfect fit with what we do offensively, but he would be another guy that could defend wing players (even SFs).

I think he's an unrestricted free agent this summer, and it'll be interesting to see what the Pacers are willing to offer. Pending what happens to Waiters, I think he needs a serious look when the Cavs scrap this LeBron dream. What kind of offer seems fair?

I think the Cavs could land him too if they were serious about it and he tests the market. He's looking for his first big money deal

we need a dude who can make plays, defend and play minutes so lebron can sit...he needs all the rest he can get during the reg season.

J.R, LeBron, Stevenson, and Delly all on the same team? That would be the most bad ass foursome I ever seen. The Picture should look like Delly slide kicking in a reverse first person view. With Bron, Smith, and Stevenson All walking with each of their signature snears. Meanwhile the painted picture in the background would be off a explosion of the city as to say they have rose. Then mid season we trade for Swaggy P and then we have the most Swag shit talking hot Back court team ever.

Does anybody else find it odd that the playoffs are going on and teams that aren't playing are making trades? Shouldn't there be some type of dead period? I doubt we wanted to be in any of the deals but we can't really talk while we're still playing.

If Matt Barnes becomes available, he may be a good pickup for us. Gritty, defends hard, and could play SF in small stretches...though perhaps he's getting too long in the tooth.
