Beyond Skyline - 4/10
Dunno what to say - the way it started I enjoyed it and by the time the ending came i hated it. Chalk it up to yet another movie that is something to check out if you have no expectations. You dont need to watch Skyline to watch this movie. It is in the same world but no characters from the first save a CGI monster make it to this one and that too is explained, so you wont be confused.
Skyline for all its negative review was something that i enjoyed a lot. i honestly am surprised that Skyline has a lower IMDB rating than this one - but hey, it always reminds me that maybe i am not like the rest. If you folks have not seen Skyline - I would recommend a one time watch. I liken that movie to a really long episode from Black Mirror with very few emotions and bad acting. The story and special effects are surely worth a watch and the ending is weird - so be warned.

It's regarded as scary as shit, Jamie Lee Curtis said "this isn't the piece of shit movie we made back in the 90's, and I apologize to anyone who had to endure it. This movie is hella scary, and you guys please tweet I said hella"
Curtis is portrayed as a complete bad ass in this film.
If you follow the film, they ended the sibling thing, it's no longer.
But all the lucky blue check marks in attendance is saying nothing but great things about their review.
I have no clue when it will reach youtube.

I finally saw A Quiet Place last night while everyone else in the world was at the Avengers. It was decent, but a bit predictable. Maybe I've just seen too many movies/tv shows like this.
I really would have rather gone to the Avengers. Or even stayed home to watch the underrated Super 8 again.

Avengers made $630 million this weekend world wide and $250 million in US, both new all time records. The first beat the old record by $90 million. I can't post this in the spoilers thread because I haven't seen the movie yet.

It's losing a lot of fucking money and is complicated but do it while you can.
They're trying to gain consumership and create leverage on theaters and eventually get price cuts on their end for the tickets they're paying for.
And movies make money on concessions still
