You mean
the twist, where the people are being turned into horses?
I loved it.
Yea that, and honestly I'm not sure where I would have liked it to have gone but the first 65% of the movie was fantastic and it just didn't pay off for me. Really good for a long time, but didn't like where it ended up.

I watched The Sting again this past week and highly recommend it.

We also re-watched the first 5 mission impossible movies this weekend before we go see the new one. I forgot how good the last couple are. The first one is always the one I remember the best because I've watched it so many times.

Some of the stunts Tom Cruise does in these movies are insane. I watched some of the features that show how he did some of those stunts. Watching the movies I just assumed they used green screens or some other tricks to make it look like he's places he isn't really at (like the openings of movies 2 and 5 and the skyscraper segment in 4).
First one was the best. After that, they just became generic action movies. Which is fine, but I don't think they are worth the praise they get (especially, Rogue Nation, which I though was garbage).

I finally saw Mission Impossible: Fallout last night. Initial reaction is I thought it was the best one yet. I was glad that I watched the other 5 again before going. Some of what I had forgotten turned out to be important to know.

Crazy Rich Asian 9/10

Best rom com in years. Although some baffling people don't use Google plotlines?

I finally watched the IT remake last night. It was a decent movie, just didn’t think it was very scary at all. I think I went in expecting more.

We saw BlackKKlansman last night. It was a very good, well made movie. It's billed as a true story, but it's better described as historical fiction. While the basic premiss actually happened, many of the key elements of the movie apparently didn't actually happen. I was going to give it 10/10 until I checked how accurate it was. I have to think about if learning so many aspects were made up detracts from that score or not.

I do recommend not looking into what parts were real and what parts were added until after the movie. There are way too many spoilers in those details.

And if you go, don't do like everyone else in the theater did and get up and leave while Prince sings Mary Don't You Weep during the credits, a recording that was found specifically for this movie.

I watched Upgrade and thought it was alot better than what the trailers made it out to be. I thought it was going to a pure action movie with very little plot. I was surprised how much of a story it had to it. It had alot less action than I thought it would have but the action sequences are really well shot.

I decide to watch it when I saw the imdb was 7.7 which I think is a fairly accurate rating for the movie.

Yeah it was not a bad film. There did quite well on the low budget making it believable future. Decent ending.

Did they just hire the lead actor because they googled 'poor man's Tom Hardy' though?

I just always associate him as Ryan's brother in the OC. He also was the lead in the tv show Quarry which was a pretty good show.

Holy shit, I always thought that was Tom Hardy. I've legitimately thought that was Tom Hardy in Prometheus until a minute ago. Wow.

Upgrade was a good film. Trailers did not do it justice.

Well, when you can't afford actual Tom Hardy (and if you want people to actually understand the movie's dialogue), you gotta go with the poor man's version.
