See Clone Wars, The.

It is a hackneyed premise, I wanted to hate it, but they actually execute Maul’s story really well.

They managed to make him interesting.

So he gets mechanical legs and is saved after being cut in half? I guess he dies later some time.

Thanks for the explanation @gourimoko I didn't notice his legs .

If this is 10 years before a new hope him rushing off for Jabba doesn't make sense unless he works for him for a decade

Watching Seven again. One thing I don't understand is the setting. Is that supposed to be NYC? Maybe...maybe not...but how in the hell do they travel from that city environment to the place where the movie ends? I'd love to see anywhere in the world with that sort of contrast.

Those couple of episodes when he takes over Mandalore. Holy shit.

Darth Maul becomes Mandalore?

Death Watch takes over Mandalore with some help from Maul. Maul challenges the leader for the right to rule Mandalore under the ancient laws. Maul decapitates the mofo.

Super duper spoiler for later in the series:

Sidious comes to Mandalore and dick slaps Maul

Yeah @gourimoko you need to check the series out. Every episode is only 30 min.

Venom is out, I can't go in the spoilers thread, so I'll ask here. Has anyone seen it and is it any good. It has a really weird rating.

Only 28 tomatoes, but 7.1 rating on IMDB, 94% google users like the movie

I haven't seen it but IMDb ratings tend to be their highest opening weekend then slowly fall. This is especially true for superhero movies. I bet it will settle in the mid-6's somewhere when it's all said and done.

mid 6s is still quite a bit better than 28 tomatoes.

I honestly can't imagine it being good. It will be a lazy retelling that focuses on CGI and lacks the nuance needed for an antihero just like suicide squad

I went in hearing it was as bad as Catwoman, walked out thinking "wtf?" The movie wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either... I have no fucking clue why so many people said it was trash; I mean, it's not faithful to the comics, but it's just not the horrible movie they make it out to be.

No, it doesn't feel like an MCU movie, but that's not necessarily a bad thing either...

I give it a 5/10... (For comparison, it felt like Amazing Spider-Man 2)

I like IMDB ratings because they seem more consistent to me. Rotten tomatoes can give a high rating to a very average movie or a very low rating to a very watchable movie.

Like I bet it will settle around 6.3 to 6.5 especially with what @gourimoko said. In that range it's a watchable movie that most people won't think is good or bad.

worth seeing at IMAX? I haven't been to an IMAX movie in a while.
