Disney ruins everything.

I mean, to be fair, they haven't ruined Marvel at all, and the Star Wars universe was already straight trash after the prequels.

At least Disney gave us the first good Star Wars movie since Return of the Jedi with Rogue One. The rest have been underwhelming, but one good Star Wars movie is more than Lucas has given us since the eighties. It's not like he was righting the ship and Disney swooped in and crashed it. George sank the Titanic. Disney just raised it from the depths, got one good film out of it, and promptly sank it again.

Rogue One was actually a good flick. Also agree with your George Lucas take.

Disney got control of ESPN. Monday Night Football is but one of many atrocities that has happened with ESPN under Disney's control.

any spoiler free reviews for Captain Marvel?

Has anyone here seen Apollo 11 yet?

I still hate they both came out the same weekend, trying to decide which one to see first.

Finally got around to gran torino.

I give it a paddy toad out of ofay spook

Haven't seen it, heard it is just a prequel to Apollo 13 but the plot isn't as dramatic. Just can't see it being as good w/o Tom Hanks and Ed Harris.

Super disappointed. Loved the rendition of I got five on it.. turning a classic hip hop song into a horror movie theme was super cool. The movie was solid, a well thought out horror film, just wasn’t scary, and was a let down based on reviews. It’s literally not scary at all. Plenty to like with the movie just didn’t do it for me. Wasn’t worth the hype imo

Apollo 11: 10/10

Excellently done documentary. Scary how good allot of the footage is. Did a great job of putting the viewer in the moment and helping to experience just how amazing and complex the while undertaking was. Being able to forgo narration have it a real movie feel and helped with pacing in a way that made it not even feel like a documentary.

The last Michael Bay transformers movie: 1/10

I turned it off 15 minutes in. What a total piece of trash. Holy shit was that 15 minutes bad. King Arthur was aided by transformers? The usual Michael Bay chaos and explosions? A Tranformer farting out grenades and rockets? Thank god he's done with that franchise.

Matrix Reloaded: 2/10

I never watched it a 2nd time and probably never will- also turned it off without finishing it. Even more erratic and mindless than the 1st time I saw it. The post war rally rave remains the shark jump point imo and I just couldn't get beyond it. Apparently the only people who get 'enlightened' are beautiful 20 somethings. I give it 2 points because the action scenes are fantastic. I'm just going to go back to my prior stance that the sequels never happened and The Matrix is and remains a standalone movie.

Agreed, I wasn't even close to being scared once. Also, hint at a spoiler ahead:

wasn't the plot twist the most predictable thing ever? I literally called it from the beginning of the film.

Free Solo: 10/10

As cool of a documentary/movie as I have ever seen. The visuals are off the charts. I can't recommend this enough.

Agree it was impressive and super entertaining.

Did you also get the impression that if Alex Honnold hadnt found free solo’ing he’d have been a serial murderer?

I thought it was kind of funny that the best SW film from the company that kills at least 1 parent in each kids movie was one where everybody dies.

Went and saw it this weekend. Thought it was stupid. Too much humor, which killed some scenes for me. Hated the twist.. very disappointing
