Ray Lewis will retire at the end of the 2012-2013 season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I sure hope the two families weren't watching him talk about the glory of God there. Luckily, I'm fairly certain they do their best to ignore the NFL altogether.

Well, I don't know what happen. There are a lot of "assholes" in the NFL. Guys that are just not good people. I go by what I see on the field. And if you can't at least respect the way Lewis plays, like or hate him, then I'm not sure how you can even like football.

I don't care if no one wants to root for him individually. He's a great player, and no one can take that away from him.

Because I can't respect a guy who helped cover up a murder just because he's a great football player, I don't like football?

C'mon guys, Godfather isn't trying to say he didn't do it, or that he doesn't care if he did. Your over-thinking this.

He's saying you gotta like the way he plays the game, nothing else. If there was no number or name on his jersey, would you like his style of play over the years?

Of course.

Fuck a Baltimore Raven. Fuck Art Modell, and fuck Ozzie Newsome too. Yeah I said it. Newsome cankiss my pasty ass.

I dislike everything about them. I'm not Wacco for Flacco, I even despise the city of Blatimore, except for the Inner Harbor which was lovely.

It should all have been ours...

Ray Lewis will get his, in this life or the next.

And if it WAS ours, and he gave Cleveland 15 amazing years and a Superbowl title, this board would be flaming any person who dare say an ill word about the GREATES MLB OF ALL TIME Ray Lewis. But he's a Raven and it's convenient to hate success, so we'll take something we know nothing about and speak on it as though we studied the case like a defense lawyer.

So yeah, keep on kidding yourselves and speaking in absolutes. Whatever helps.

Guy kills a guy in Cleveland... we run him out of town (Dante Stallworth)

Baltimore signs guy we run out of town because they're ok with scum on their team, after all Lewis is there. They're ok with scum.

Guy rapes chick in Pittsburgh it's alm good. Guy does it a second time it's even better for them. They're ok with scum.

I'd get carpal tunnel if I typed about the Bengals.

I think jlegg was being a "homer Browns fan" talking as if Ray Ray played for the Browns.

All you need is a website called "Google" to read the court documents, which I have. This has nothing to do with him being on the Ravens. I hate Ray Lewis, not the Ravens. I respect the hell out of Ray Rice, Torrey Smith, Ed Reed, etc. I don't even hate Art Modell (I know, I'm in the majority). To suggest that my hatred for Lewis is rooted in jealousy of the Ravens' success and not that he helped cover up a freaking MURDER is ignorance at its very best.

It sounded like no weapons, but I would have sworn the response would have been that their was a knife. So he must not have said that.

I do know he said something about God.

He said a passage from the Bible. Don't even get me started there...:chuckles:

No, no, allow me to clarify. If he played in Cleveland, this fan base would absolutely make that argument, and they'd be wearing his jersey, and they'd want a statue Jim Brown and Ray Lewis doing a dance outside the stadium.

I think what bothers me the most is that Cleveland fans look extremely petty and jealous bringing this argument up every time Ray Lewis' name comes up. You're that guy who runs into a successful millionaire at your HS reunion and keeps bringing up that time he got a DUI in HS.

Fact is, if people were really that upset about Ray Lewis' supposed involvement in that murder, they'd quit watching the NFL and take a real stand against it. I guess bringing it up on a message board is a happy medium?

Yeah, I was thinking the bible verse that starts with "No weapon formed against you shall prosper..."

Which doesn't help the debate going on in here.... :chuckles:

1) Biiiiiiiiiiiiiig difference between a DUI and covering up a murder.

2) I would never wear the jersey of a guy who helped cover up a murder.

3) Plenty of people nationally do not like Ray Lewis...it's not just people in Cleveland. And again, I have like Ed Reed, Ray Rice, etc. Nothing against the Ravens, everything against Ray Lewis. Once he retires I won't even care if they win.

4) Why would anyone quit watching the NFL because of one scumbag player?

Again, that's REAL easy for you to claim when it's a hypothetical, and you're so dense that you're taking an analogy literally, so this convo is over.
