How the hell did you get David Johnson and Kareem Hunt? They've both been gone top-9 in every draft I've done this year.

Yeah, a few people went QB in the first since they are super valuable in 2QB (this is straight 2QB, not superflex). It's also six points per QB touchdown, which further increases the distance between the top-tier and the second tier guys.

I picked 5th. Johnson dropped there and then Hunt dropped to 15 somehow. Not gonna complain.

So I hear and read that the points per TD for QBs do not change their relative value compared to the rest of the players. The ratio is still the same. The difference between QB X and QB Y will be the same regardless.

Is this not accurate?

Scarcity may play a part where the players get drafted, but the value of the position should not alter things.

Scarcity yes, but in that 2QB format the difference between a Brady and a Dalton, on average six points, is doubled.

So the difference between a team with two good QBs and two mediocre ones can be 10+ points a week. That type of margin is usually all the difference.

Well, you just have to look at it this way...

Say Quarterback A throws 35 touchdowns and Quarterback B throws 25. That's 210/150 with six point touchdowns compared to 140/100 with four.

So, as Stannis mentioned, the difference effectively went up by 50%, a forty point difference to a sixty point difference. If all QBs were equal, the difference would be meaningless. But all QBs are not equal, and in 2QB there is positional scarcity, as there are at least twenty of the 32 starting QBs rostered, and realistically it's probably at the full 32 or damn close. So not only is there a big difference between an elite QB and a mediocre QB, not to mention a vast gulf between an elite and a bad QB, but there really aren't many, if any, options for upgrades on waivers.

Yeah, but the positional relativity is still there. The gap between each QB between those players is still QBA is 1.4 times higher than QBB no matter what the scoring system is.

Taking a QB because of the 6 point per is a losing strategy because the relative advantage isn't there compared to a top RB vs other RBs. Taking Aaron Rodgers in the first round over David Johnson is a losing strategy no matter how many points a QB gets per TD.

Well, that I agree with. I'd never take a QB in the first round. I didn't take one until the fourth.

It's fixed now. I forgot that Yahoo always shows times in PST because they are assholes.

Jesus, don't they know EST isthe best coast?

Yahoo was acquired by Verizon, based in New York. Tell those lazy, entitled East Coasters to actually get off their asses and do something.
