Remaining 2016 Free Agents

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
With Conley down and Memphis applying for a hardship exemption, one of the prime remaining point guards will be off the board. Prime is a relative term in this context. They're looking at Toney Douglas, Kendall Marshall and Will Bynum. I've always been fond of Bynum. Norris Cole, in China, is apparently now injured. What a Surprise. And Chalmers still isn't ready. (He also played for the Griz last yr, seeming to me, increasing their interest and willingness to keep tabs on him.)

W/R/T Deron Williams, Mark Cuban has said they're not tanking. Of course, that doesn't mean the time won't come.... the team is playing Kyrie off the ball an awful lot - pretty much whenever LeBron is in there the last couple games, making me feel the need for a real point guard who can (sorta) move Kyrie off the ball is even greater.

I don't doubt that they're working on something. Hopefully a trade, because the FA remainders are no great shakes and the need is looking important (LBJ is just so much better off the ball or in the post as opposed to above the key/break)

As soon as Conley gets hurt Norris Cole just happens to be released by his team... interesting.

What's your opinion on Jordan Farmar @Chris Parker?

Kendall Marshall would be ideal for me, not sure why I didn't realize he could be available.

When you look at Marshall, know that he is what he is. An ok shooter, a passable defender at times, but an excellent passer. He is not the franchise & he is not the starter. His role is distributing. We need that on our second unit. That combined with youth are enticing to me and very well should be for this Cavs team if Felder is not an option.

I'll take an injured Chalmers every day. Kandall Marshall after his ACL Tear is just a really bad player.
He isn't close to what he was in college or what he projected to be.

Norris Cole just got released by his Chinese team...pretty sure he has an NBA out-clause...wonder if hes on his way to Memphis.

Coles CBA stats look terrible. 19 ppg. He is up there with Samardo Samuels and Alex Kirk.

Is Lance Stephenson or Jarret Jack available? Also what's the likely hood of Mo coming back?

Jack is available. Stephenson is injured & Mo? Would you really want the guy back who screwed over the team by sticking them with his contract then undergoing surgery after failing to retire?

Lance Stephenson should be back from injury soon. He got hurt in early November and recovery time was 6-10 weeks. He would fill two positions of need, backup point and wing. He add versatilty to the rotation and build a role in the rotation even when JR comes back.

Would be nice, but I think he and the Grizz have mutual interest. I'd be very surprised if he went elsewhere.

Add to that his history with Lebron and I can't imagine him on the Cavs.

What happened to Will Bynum? I always thought he was an aggressive spark of the bench who could pass pretty well. Is this a situation where he only played well against the Cavs?
