One thing the estate is doing right is posting videos. Here's one I looked and looked for a couple of years ago when I was posting prince tracks. Outstanding vocals on this one, but I hate that they edited the song down. Like often happens, the best part of the song is after the edits

His aversion to an online presence really closed his music off to new generations. He was stubborn.

That video doesn't really do justice to how hard it was actually raining. It POURED and Prince crushed it.

It's get more unreal as I rewatch it. I've seen countless times when the performer messes up the crowd sing along and fucking Prince has the balls to kick his mic down and keeps the crowd on chorus. It's in a football stadium of all places which are typically shit for music and as you note he just crushes it

Probably posted it already in this thread but...seriously an all-time great guitar solo. A lot of times with skilled guitarists, a solo will just be a wankfest, look how fast I can shred. This one somehow stays true to the tone and still projects ridiculous talent (presumably, I'm not very good at guitar). He's a gd virtuoso of music.


Also straying a bit off topic, but since it was posted...maybe this is a bit out there for some of you...but I am a huge Nightwish fan and I love watching reaction videos of people hearing it for the first time. Breaks a lot of people to tears. Stay tuned for the Floorgasm at 10:23. One of the best female vocalists of all time.

Let’s Go Crazy will never not be a go-to song for me

Probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite Prince song....to me its When doves Cry and tie between Lets Go Crazy and Seven.

But man, a Prince top 10 song list is amazing, so you cant go wrong with a favorite even if its not mine.
