Andrew... you were trying to get rep in that crazy Amare thread and they suggested a way to do so, but it wasn't appropriate. Of course it would be deleted. And that was because many of the thanking posters were hardcore macho guys that thank anyone who has a woman pic in his post.

If you want rep that much, how about you earn your reps the right way? Giving insight, links, answers to questions, etc. It never hurt me to not post pics of women...

I wasn't even posting pix in that thread for reps, someone only brought it up to me later while that thread was going on. I do try and contribute I was just wondering why within a few hours today so many reps were deleted.

Andrew, not sure if this applies to you, but we had a couple cases last week where posters were "thanking everyone in the thread" or suggesting to "thank all my posts, then i'll thank all your posts". In such cases rep is often subtracted from each participant. I don't know if that applies to you, but I know it happened last week.

it did happen to me last week and someone repped me when I said it wasn't cool and I made a thread in here to have them taken away, but she only did it like 50 times when 100s of my reps have gone.

i didnt even know people track rep points from day to day. I think i look at mine like once a week.

Andrew, the more you focus solely on getting rep, the less you're going to get. If you take that focus and use it towards making informative, insightful posts, links to good articles, or even quality humor as opposed to cheap tricks, you'll get a golden penis in no time.

Rep whores are really easy to sniff out and they usually don't get rep because when it boils down to it, most of what they're posting isn't rep worthy. Work on positive contributions, and people will give you rep to encourage you. Any more of this and a mod will probably crack your skull. Easy decision, no?
