Rodney Hood: Won't be missed

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Has he fallen off a cliff yet? Been struck by lightning? Heart attack? Taking a selfie while accidentally standing on railroad tracks? Brain eating amoeba? Rare genetic disorder?

Hmmm...one can hope, right?

This is funny because i was coming in here to say he fell down a well.

The trade deadline cannot get here fast enough. Hood, Clarkson, TT, and JR all gone for assets and young players. Second half of the season gonna be fun to watch.

He is just allergic at putting the ball in the basket. And any sort of hustle without the ball. So...yeah.

Not sure hood will be easy to trade. Not sure front office wants to trade Clarkson or TT

I get keeping TT, and think people's rationale for keeping him makes sense. I hate it, but I think it makes sense.

However, Clarkson is marginally better than Hood, and even worse in some ways--at least Hood passes the ball when a tripple team collapses on him. Clarkson thinks he's Kobe, but he's got the IQ of Rodman.

I'm resigned to Clarkson being in the team until next year. He is cool sometimes. I haven't enjoyed a single game from Rodney. Even when he is on it stymies the offense

17. Hood is playing on a one-year qualifying offer worth $3.4 million. Because he’s on a qualifying offer, he can refuse any trade. The Cavs, meanwhile, are clearly rebuilding, and teams are studying them to scavenge spare parts. The Clippers, for instance, have scouted the last several Cleveland games, home and away.

18. The Clippers, like a lot of teams, need a wing (Hood is 6-foot-8). They don’t want to take on new money (his deal expires at year’s end). They have not explicitly expressed interest in Hood, I’m told. I’m telling you, though, that these are the Clippers’ needs and financial situation and they’ve been watching the Cavs play in person.

Rumors swirling... Please get us a 2nd round pick or 2. If you fetch a late first I will take back everything I said

I'm on-board with trading him now. It took me a while to get to where everyone else felt about him. I thought he could be a couple year answer to our SG spot because of his skill set and we could move on if we found an upgrade. In reality he needs the ball too much to get comfortable and it really a crap shot on how will play. I think another team will convince themselves they can use all of Hood's tools and get him to play more consistently. If he could just be a good spot up shooter, I think he would be so much more valuable to this team.

Ok, getting a 1st round pick for Hood would be awesome but I don't understand why so many people on here do not like him. The dude is putting up good stats and he is above average when creating offense for him self. He can also knock down 3s and is young.
