I think he has the tools offensively to be a solid 2nd option this season but not if he can't get his head around being consistent on defensive assignments

I am not anti Hood like many, but if Hood is a 2nd option you have a 20 win team.

I think Hood has the tools to be a solid contributor. Maybe part of a one two punch off the bench, or your 4th best starter on a good team. But he isn't even there now, have to build back up his confidence and build back up his jump shot.

right he is not the defender he needs to be yet , but the offense will be there for him whether he's the 2nd or 3rd option depending on line ups and match ups etc.
I am reluctant to think in general I could agree that Hood as a 2nd option is automatic ushering into a lottery team category, but if he isn't a 2 way player as a 2nd option scorer his production offensively will be strictly offset by what he gives up making that partially true. I liked his effort defensively in game 1 and I think given his contract situation we are going to see a lot more from him than most people expect.

Hill/Nwaba/Cedi/Love/Zizic

Sexton/JR/Korver/Frye/Nance

Eventually, Sexton and Hill swap places. Let's go after the playoffs!
 
I think the problem with Hood is that he really never developed his strength. His issues with his 3pt shot and settling for mid range shots is because he never worked on his strength and body.. Defensively, he does not fight for position and gets over powered by smaller guys.. Maybe because of his medical condition? But being a pro for 4 and never developing his game says alot about his work ethic..

What medical condition does he have ? I wanted Hood out of this team after watching him last year, but if that was because of what ever medical condition i will be a bit sad for thinking harshly of him.

I don't want sexton playing with hood and clarkson. The faster he breaks into the starting lineup the better.
