Rodney Hood: Won't be missed

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Immediately? JR is not going to be replaced by a guy who just got here. It’s Rodney Hood, not Paul George.

However, they could start both JR and Hood. I think it’s more likely that Green starts at this point in time. A lot could change. Lue is going to get to tinker with some lineups again. o_O

And with Hill, JR and Hood playing alongside him, LeBron would absolutely create havoc with dive & kick LeBron ball.

Lebron starting at the 4 really would make a big difference and open up minutes AND driving lanes.

Honestly the 3 ball was one of my big worries about this team. The trades address a lot of that. I am not too familiar with Hood, but I think in a lineup with Lebron he could be really deadly.

As of now, both will start imo. We need offense with Love out.

And Hood is possibly the best offensive player we have now after LeBron.

Hill at 1, JR at 2, Hood at 3 with LeBron at 4.

Despite his height and length Hood is best suited at SG he's not strong enough for SF if they post him up

Lue needs to get this right and put the best groups on the floor. Cedi included. Only 29 reg season games left. They need to be practicing during all star break.
Hood should be a fine addition for us. May thrive here.

Yeah.

I think with that team Larry Nance is the perfect big to have as well.

Very good roller who finishes strong inside. A LeBron - Nance PnR with Hood, Hill and JR/Korver/Cedi would be absolutely deadly to defend.

Hood is a younger 6'8 version of JR smith. I'm calling it now he's going put 20 a game while KLove is out with the injury.

Is it really that big of a foregone conclusion with how ass JR has been outside of the last 5ish games? I was actually expected some people to reply to me that they think JR will play himself out of the rotation by the time the playoffs come around when we can only play 8-9 players.
I actually think JR is coming on the last handful of games. He’s shooting 46% from 3 over the last 7 games. That’s a good sign.

Im expecting j.r to turn it around now, filled with confidence that lebron didnt trade him

He will be happy that Wade is gone. For some reason I think JR had a tough time accepting Wade.

Hood is starting, book it.

I just bet $50 on it with another poster. That's how much I believe it.

Anything else would be crazy. JR is a worse all-round player and plays better off the bench anyway. Not starting Hood, who very much wants to start, would mess up the team's relationship with him right from the start.

He should definitely start. Not even a question to me, his game is tailor made to play off Lebron and he has a ton of potential, dude is only like 25 and has 20ppg+ potential.

With Lue though you never know.
