Round 1 Game 3 Cleveland Cavaliers (2-0) @ Indiana Pacers (0-2) THURSDAY, APRIL 20 7:00 PM ET

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think people are overlooking that Lance had 3 or 4 seasons with Paul George and that has been a huge factor
And Lance now signed there for another 2-3 years maybe just one more reason PG13 decides abandon ship early and demand a trade this offseason

In the end an OK win...and I guess that is all we want in the Playoffs...but Bron had to play 45 minutes in the first round of the playoffs...is this really sustainable? He needs to get support from some of those pampered, over-paid, over-hyped players on the team...or we are not 'peating

Greatest comeback in NBA Playoff history is "an OK win"?

You said that if the Cavs came back you weren't sure how you'd feel about the game. So, how you feeling now dude?

I've thought about it....

And honestly..I just keep going back to the part in Windhorst/McMenamins book where David Griffin sent the team that e-mail that basically said(paraphrasing

"Of course we are gonna have to come back down 3-1 against a 73 win team...we always have to find the hardest path to take, take that path, and we play our best with our backs against the wall".

That's the Cavs. That's how we won last year. This year, we have a defense that would basically be the worst ranked defense to ever win an NBA title if we win, we only seem to respond afte taking multiple kicks to the face, etc...

That's just how we are. We feed off adversity. When things are going too good, we have to fuck it up royally to make things interesting. It is just this teams destiny. And we have to live with that.

All I know this game had me missing the hell out of Delly, so I guess I was reaching...

But then the super defense turnt up and I couldn't believe my own eyes.

Is this a serious question? Two days off before tonight. Two days off until the game Sunday. Than at least 3-4 days until round two.

It's the playoffs, LeBron will play whatever he feels he needs to: 39, 42, 45.

And tonight, it absolutely was necessary. Hopefully next game they don't put themselves in a similar spot, but short of complete blowout wins for the Cavs, expect Bron to play between 38-44 every game in the postseason

I think the best comment on this whole thread was that the Finals are the new regular season. LeBron knew in October that if the team was healthy there wasn't anything to stop them in the East. He also knows he's 32, he can't go balls-out in the regular season on both ends of the court, and he's coming off six seasons into the Finals. He also knows the Cavaliers eventually will have to play defense against GSW with Durant and without Home Court Advantage.

It's all about rest for him. Play as few games as possible to win the East. He knew they needed to win tonight to avoid a possible long series. So he was in beast mode. Win Sunday, chill for a week, and move on to the next victim.

I think one of the most positive signs from tonight's game was the energy from the bench with everyone standing up during most of the comeback. It hasn't seemed like the team is having fun on the court often this year but it looked like they were having a great time tonight.

I'm not thrilled that we had to get a 40+ point game from Lebron this early in the playoffs but it was basically him and bench players who got us back in the game and stepped up huge. Indiana is going to be desperate Sunday but this win had to kill their spirit.

There is no Okay wins in the playoffs. You win. you win.

I was annoyed about the minutes during the regular season it is unbearable for the playoffs.

Indiana has one of the Best small forwards outside of LeBron.

Cavs sat their big three tonight. Lebron Showed George that no matter who is on the floor. Lebron will still beat him .

Win now . worry about the next game when it comes.

if you don't win. know that you put it all out on the floor.

Win 4 and go on to the next round. that's all that matters right now.

Lebron averaged 39.1 minutes last playoffs.

He averaged 42.2 minutes the season before.

Lebron had over 40 minutes in 4 of the 5 first 5 playoff games last season.

gimmie a break with these post season minute counters.

I think the point was is that Lance has existing chemistry, communication and familiarity with where paul is gonna be. how to read what he wants to do and where to be defensively and vice versa.

Signing Lance Stephenson with the Cavs would of been a completely different equation

Meanwhile in Milwaukee ...

Delly's put up 5 shots, 4 went in.

DeRozan and Lowry put up 18 shots between them, 4 went in.

Delly with another one of his +20 specials lol. I miss that guy and love him. Bucks are gonna be fun to watch. They're kinda playing like we did in 2015. Similar type identity I think.
