Ward looked really good again today. The weaker receivers have no shot against him.

To me, the big area for Ward to improve is still his defense against short passes. As the season finishes, also, I would like to see him matchup against more #1 receivers. Nonetheless, the dude is performing at a Pro Bowl level, and is only a rookie. Between he and Garrett, the Browns have two defensive cornerstones.

Interestingly, he was beat badly by John Ross on a go route but Dalton overthrew him.

Usually, most of the time that Ward isn’t shutting someone down, it’s because we’re giving up 6-8 yard passes in a very shitty Tampa 2.

Perhaps. This comment was funny early but I wonder how many more sacks Myles would have this year if he had Chubb on the opposite side instead of Ogbah. Myles only has 1 less sack than Von Miller.

Either would be a good pick. I was torn at the time because of how much we needed a shut down corner.

What I will say is both Bradley and Ward were my pics for number 4 and yet have both performed better than I expected. We could have justified either pick for sure.

If Avery improves next year we could still have one of the better young pass rushing duos in the league. I believe he grades higher than Chubb.

Imagine the cap problems with two insane edge rushers. The Raiders couldn't even find a way to pay one...

It was a easy pass on Chubb, especially when you have no CBs and potential at edge rushers.

But we should definitely add another edge guy and a DT. Ogbah isn't doing it for me because that dude should be eating all he can eat while Myles gets doubled and tripled.
