Interestingly, he was beat badly by John Ross on a go route but Dalton overthrew him.Ward looked really good again today. The weaker receivers have no shot against him.
To me, the big area for Ward to improve is still his defense against short passes. As the season finishes, also, I would like to see him matchup against more #1 receivers. Nonetheless, the dude is performing at a Pro Bowl level, and is only a rookie. Between he and Garrett, the Browns have two defensive cornerstones.
Shoulda drafted Chubb.
Chubb has been a monster but I’d still rather have ward. Our secondary would be a mess without him.
Either would be a good pick. I was torn at the time because of how much we needed a shut down corner.
What I will say is both Bradley and Ward were my pics for number 4 and yet have both performed better than I expected. We could have justified either pick for sure.
Imagine the cap problems with two insane edge rushers. The Raiders couldn't even find a way to pay one...
