Denzel Ward

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Have you watched the NFL?

Everyone struggles to cover Julio Jones.
Denzel was beat on a TD pretty easily by Simmie Cobbs, and when Denzel was on him, he mauled Ward, and Cobbs was a guy that went undrafted but has height, that's a concern.

The good news is there aren’t many Julio Jones (size + skill combo) caliber WRs in the league.
True, definitely not the skill, when we play the Falcons, I'm going to assume they stick Ward on Ridley or Sanu.

One play. Relax.

We watched a slower, same height Joe Hayden shut down receivers for years when he was in his prime.

I like Ward allot and I am not an OSU fan. Baker I am luke warm at best on.

I like Ward too, I thought it was a bit of a reach but saw the Broncos had we taken Chubb would've taken Ward themselves. Browns have had such a hard time stopping Brown that maybe Ward at his size and speed can slow Brown down some.

I remember when all you assholes said Gordon would never set a foot back on the field 2 years ago and demonized him for pot. Now that the TV says it's OK...well....now you know.

As far as I know, most of us don't care that he smokes pot. We care that he's too dumb to beat the tests and thus unable to play.

I don't think pot should even be a banned substance in the NFL (or anywhere, for that matter), but that doesn't mean it's not frustrating when a potentially elite player on my favorite team constantly gets himself suspended because he can't stop smoking it. He knows the rules and he keeps breaking them.

Three cool stats on Ward —>

-Allowed an NFL passer rating of 52.9 when targeted in 2017 with two interceptions and twelve pass breakups from 57 targets.

-Ward allowed just 35.1 percent of passes

-Ward's Yards per Cover Snap - or the amount of yards allowed in sum when a secondary player is targeted - is .75. What that means is not only does Ward prevent catches, but when his man catches the ball, Ward ends the play quickly and does not allow a lot of yards to be gained.

Denzel is going to struggle guarding the Julios if he's forced to cover him and other big WRs. Browns did need someone to guard AB since he's killed us a lot, especially in that season opener last year. Browns at least got the #1 CB in this years draft.
Joe Haden was like the same size and he was the legal guardian of AJ Green up until his steep and sudden decline

Haden seriously owned Green for like 5 years of divisional play.

My gut says that the reason Haden never struggled against Green - and the same reason Ward won't - is that neither is a corner obsessed with getting receptions. They both play the player, not the ball.

Broncos would have traded down if Chubb wasn't available
