Ads are revenue, and adblocking stuff at work and whatnot don't help the site. But avatar viewing can already be turned off, right? I know people like to see what ridiculous pictures people have attached to their name, and it's probably a little annoying to switch on and off that setting from work to home, but at least that option's already there on an individual level.

as stated above I can turn off avatars/pictures/sigs with no problem, and they have been that way for at least a couple of years. But I cant turn off the ads. I guess I could just browse in the mobile mode.

I get break from work and a lunch ,and i browse the site at my desk then. But if my boss sees that AD they may wonder what im doing.

We can block the avatars, most can't block ads at work.
