So when do we give Freddie Kitchens his own thread? That way we can dig up takes when he's out of the league in 3 years :chuckle:

Oh god, clueless fans calling in radio shows about not being happy over losing Williams.

Somebody tell these assholes our talented defense ranked 27th on the season and couldn't get off the goddamn football field.

I mean, let's just set the record straight once and for all

Bob Wylie fucks.

Weird that Mary Kay's "report" about the Childress-Stefanski connection was all manufactured bullshit. Shocking, really.

With Stefanski staying in Minnesota as OC my guess is Childress is coming in to be offensive consultant under Stef.

The list of defensive coaches that Kitchens has worked with in the past who are still available is not what I would call spectacular.

Hopefully Freddie has some contacts around the league he can tap into to find a quality DC.
Todd Bowles please. They say it's not done with Tampa. Chicago also in the mix.

Something that stood out to me about Freddie - long before we ever knew he'd become head coach - was his brief highlight on Hard Knocks.

He spoke up in the coaches' meeting and agreed with the coordinators that his players need to man the fuck up and practice through bumps and bruises. He was promptly rebuked by Hue as were Todd and others.

Don't want to be hyperbolic about that moment but thought it was worth bringing up.

Brandon Staley is a guy a lot of NFL personnel people like.

If you're looking for someone on a similar trajectory as Freddie, it would be him.

He also has college DC and HC experience and worked under Fangio.

Not sure if he has been mentioned yet but I think he's one of the next assistants who will eventually be given a chance somewhere as a DC.

Can’t wait for @AZ_ to come in and call this hire “mediocre”

Will be the nail in the coffin for Freddie to be a lock to be the best rookie coach next year.

What makes you such a big fan of his. Most of us are in the dark.

And I'm not completely out of the dark either, but look at what the Haslam family values in their hires. They look for football talent, but at the same time the type of resume that would succeed in the corporate world. They are not afraid to declare, as I said before: "Eggheads with Meatheads" in the most stereotypical way I can say it.

They like a variety of football minds duking it out, and while a few people were judgemental about ownership in the meetings - it was a good idea.

So are you going to cut off the extra gold from the tip or just leave it there? Congratulations on becoming an RCF Man by the way.
