Series #17 Tampa Bay Rays @ Cleveland Indians May 23, 24, 25, and 26

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Abysmal.

You ask why are we abysmal?

We have a scrub like Bauers batting cleanup.

I mean this shit is just tough to watch. You go scroll on twitter, John Adams the drummer is saying there's no venders, i guess the Dolans cut costs on those too along with the lineup.

Bauer’s batting cleanup is pretty pathetic. Offensively, this team is about as bad as I’ve ever seen. Feels like the window to compete is over and the team realizes it. Who all is a candidate to be traded if they completely blow it up?
Bauer
Kluber
Hand
Lindor? Ugh

I don't wanna trade him though. You do whatever it takes to build a winner next year and capitalize on him for 2 more years. I'd trade Bauer though and get something really good going forward. Maybe Verdugo. Bauer could very well be the must have prize around the deadline. Auctions could get expensive.
It really is time to blow it up. No trolling. It’s a mess. Cannot believe what this ownership did with Frankie.

You are in denial. They are going to lose Bauer next year. They don’t have the bats to win a World Series. They are not going to go out and spend big money in the winter either. Time to rebuild and open a new window in 3 years.

I love John Adams--when he's done, I hope he gets a statue of him, inside the ballpark in his seat with his drum. Truly a legend.

If he's claiming there aren't vendors, he's either losing his wits or lying. It's not only the same number of vendors, but nearly the exact same vendors who have been there for years. I don't know how there's so little turnover in the vendors, but I swear there's only like one new guy this year.

That being said in the past sometimes then vendors do skip the bleachers at times it feels like. My one friend got mad the one day since they stopped showing up with what she was wanting. (Shes not the type to calm down much either lol).

Still I think we need some energy put back into this team and if that means making a couple trades then we need to do it soon. We still have time to get the division back, but we cannot keep waiting for guys to hit and be productive. I think getting a power hitting RH and a veteran OF bat is what we need asap!

The vendor story that’s floating around online is specific to yesterday only.

The rumor is that the Indians, because of the long rain delay yesterday, sent most of the vendors home early rather than pay them for working double the amount of time they were supposed to work.

I have no idea how true it is because I wasn’t there, but that is what’s being floated.

It was all over Twitter. Not sure why people would make something like that up. In any case the team needs to make some smart trades to help improve the minor league system. Don’t worry about the all star game being in Cleveland. Trying to win while also trying to rebuild is almost impossible. Yes you can put a product at or slightly above 500. but you are fooling yourself if you think the roster has a realistic chance at winning a World Series. Not with five to six holes in the lineup in the American League. You have Clevinger and Bieber as starting points, honestly I’m not sure anyone else should be safe if they find a good deal. The sooner you do this, the sooner you can create a new window of contention in s few years.

Because of the 3 hour delay, per MLB rules or something, last call ending up being in the 1st inning, so all the beer vendors would've had nothing to sell all game anyway. As far as all the other vendors, maybe it was a just a nice gesture since they'd been there since 1:30pm

I believe it is the MLB and Umpire Crew who decides the rain delays and what not. They absolutely butchered it yesterday.

I was at the game and sat in the bleachers. He's right. There were no vendors in the bleachers and I didn't see them in other areas of the stadium either.

It’s because it was such a long delay, they sent them home

Do the Indians pay the vendors?

I thought they were all independent contractors, and their pay was really only a percentage of their profits.
