Series #17 Tampa Bay Rays @ Cleveland Indians May 23, 24, 25, and 26

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Bauer having troubles again. Pitch count climbing and in trouble with base runners. Just as I type, 3-0 now.

Trevor Bauer continues his subpar season. But then again, it must suck pitching for this lineup, no time to have a free and easy approach.

I really think he needs to just concentrate on less pitch types. Hell, if he just went completely FB, CU, And Slider he would be better off and have more control. I know it was just pre season but he threw 2 pitches only all spring training and looked good. However, with that said, I think he will break out of this and be more dominate later. It’s just frustrating right now.

I think that mindset was proven false a few years ago. I think you agree with this as well, considering you named his slider, which he only added recently. Bauer's a stud, and adding a slider to his repertoire really helped him.

Something's up with him right now. A few starts in a row, every time he tried to throw a slider to the 1st base side of home plate, it was 6 inches outside. Like, consistently--a pitch that he should be able to nail corners with naturally was off. The only way he was throwing his slider for a strike was like up and in. I'm not sure if it's a little nagging injury/tightness/soreness thing, or if he's just a little off mechanically, but something isn't right.

Agree. Something is up. Once he got command of that slider, he was pretty good with it. I feel he’ll turn it around at some point but he is missing the plate too much. The reason I brought up those three pitches is they all come from the same slot, motion and tail off different. His curve has not served him as well this season yet.

And FWIW, we didn’t need a Sac Fly with two outs Kipnis...LOL!

1) Fuck you Plawecki.
2) With the way this team's built, we're never going to be competitive if Jose keeps playing like ass.

Someone shut those kids up on the broadcast

Yeah we are blowing this bitch up. Indians twitter is going to blow up on the Dolans like never before when the firesale begins. Walk-up crowds are going to dip when they used to rise. TV ratings will definitely plummet. Window slammed shut. This is what happens when you don't have qualified MLB hitters. When Frankie and Santana slump, there's no Napoli to hit the occasional 3 run bomb, or Edwin, or Brantley, or hell Gomes even has his fair share of walk-offs.

Nobody is picking these guys up. Jose is fucking pathetic too. His AB with runners on was frightening.

The Rays have a 63 million dollar payroll. We are getting outclassed in every way imaginable.

You are right. Right now we basically have two qualified MLB hitters in this lineup. Tough to win that way. I think that is why Trevor and Carrasco are scuffling, they know tney have to pitch gems everytime out. Tough to pitch that way. This is tough to watch right now.

How the hell old is Joe West? I was just watching some baseball highlights on Youtube from like the mid 70s and he was umping that game. He didnt really look that young then.

It won't be a full blow-up. Kipnis, Martin, Ollie Perez, guys like that. Only significant deal could be Bauer.

We couldnt trade Kipnis in the off-season so do you expect us to be able to trade him now? Martin is a plus defender CF, but only a platoon guy, what could we get value wise back? Perez is a dime a dozen left handed relief pitcher. He isn't nearly as valuable as the arms out in San Fran from the left side.

My point is this, how would this do anything to help us now and in the long run when the value of these guys isn't very good? What would we tell the clubhouse if we start trading away guys, that we are giving up on the season?
