Spurs thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Spurs did not follow the offensive game plan last night

Sometime this morning we'll see the Spurs firing their coach due to the GS beatdown.

The Spurs got beat down. One of the Spurs players said that they way they played tonight especially on D was the first they have played taht way all year. Said Pop was studying them.

I dunno. The Warriors are so fast. I have never seen a team score so much on broken plays and bobbled balls. Play good D, get a deflection, zing they have a three.

I just rewatched the game. I think that (other than curry being curry and the spurs being extra sloppy) the biggest reason this game turned out the way it did is that Draymond Green just completely dominated Lamarcus Aldridge defensively. Completely shut him down, even though Aldridge is like a full 5-6 inches taller (and 5 years older). DG consistently was able to just force LA away from the basket, and LA couldnt do anything at all. He couldn't post up the tinier Green. He (Aldridge) finished with 5 pts and 3 rebounds, and a +/- of a team worst -20.

That should have been San Antonio's biggest mismatch, favoring Aldrige, yet Green just totally overpowered the bigger guy, and finished with a team best +/- of +29

Green is reminding more and more of a young Charles Barkley, except with 3pt shooting range

Yeah, he was throwing the game because home court means nothing to him.
He's won a couple without it, so I think he sees the bigger picture. But if he really wanted to win last night, why'd he sit Duncan?

With how poorly LaMarcus Aldridge played last night, somehow I don't think Spurs fans and panicking and wanting to trade him for role players.

I bet you Spurs fans want to trade him for Jae Crowder and Amir Johnson.

Barkley and dreymond are nothing alike.

San Antonio is now 4-6 on the road against .500-or-better teams.

Kawhi Leonard's scoring has declined every month this season.

I don't see this team going very far in the playoffs.

Agree on Curry comment. He used to live like 10 min from my house. During the morning of a key game of the NBA finals, mind you, he went for a walk at about 6 am with his family at a public park around a water reservoir. A casual fan saw him and asked for a selfie, and he said sure, go ahead. The photo was posted on a local news station. Just some average joe.

The guy is class.

At games before he was peak Curry, he regularly hosted 'make a wish kids.' He spends time with each kid, one on one. He visits hospitals without press to cheer cancer kids. His wife sells olive oil for charity at local stores. He was raised to be a solid give-it-back guy. I have first hand experience.

This is like 90% of NBA stars, including the biggest douchebags. Posing for selfies, doing charity, all that -- it's just PR, has nothing to do with the kind of people they are. I'm not saying Curry is not a standup dude, but these things mean nothing. Let's not make it out like this is anything special.
