Thoughts?

I still hate the NBA Hall of Fame and think it lets everybody in, but I'm fine with Nash & Kidd. Hill is borderline and Mo Cheeks is a stretch, at least in my opinion.

Maurice Cheeks? lol.

Grant Hill is a no for me as well. Was never close to being the same after the injuries and his accomplishments and stats do not warrant being in the HOF.

I would def not have voted in Hill or Cheeks. The standards for the hall have really fallen.

Remember this isn't just the NBA Hall of Fame....it's the basketball Hall of Fame

People forget that it's all of basketball, not just the NBA Hall of Fame.

Don't sleep on Grant Hill in college. Probably one of the best collegiate players of his era.

Don't disagree about Mo Cheeks getting in, but lesser players than him have made it in.

Yea Hill is borderline with his college career. And considering it's taken a long while, I'm ok with it.

Also, there's the "what if" factor that every HOF has. Terrell Davis and Gale Sayers both got in, despite having very short peaks due to injuries.

Sayers only had 2 years of 1000 yards.

Really Bo Jackson should be in on the what if factor, but that wont happen.

Grant Hill got hurt. If that didn't happen, he's a first ballot HOF guy. For me Hill getting in makes sense.

Mo Cheeks is another story. 4x all star, 4x defensive 1st team and 1x defensive 2nd team. Didn't score much but shot the ball extremely well from the field, good floor general and averaged the same amount of steals per game as turnovers. Cheeks was a very good player but didn't come across as a HoF guy to me. Bball reference has a Hof % score. He had a .5466% chance. Of eligible players for the hall only 4 had a higher % than Cheeks...

Mo Cheeks:
11.1 PPG
2.8 RPG
6.7 APG
16.5 PER
1x NBA Champion
4x All-Star
5x NBA All-Defense

Rajon Rondo:
10.5 PPG
4.8 RPG
8.5 APG
16.4 PER
1x NBA Champion
1x All-NBA
4x All-Star
4x NBA All-Defense

Neither of these guys scream Hall of Fame to me, but if you let Cheeks in, Rondo probably has to get in too.

Sure, but EVERYONE loved Mo. Pretty hard to find a bad word said about him. Definitely can't say the same for Rondo. That definitely plays a role.

Plus, Mo's been coaching, what, 20 years? So he was a solid player, was well-liked by everyone, and he stayed in the game to pay it forward as a coach. His case is pretty solid at that point.

Rondo’s injuries really took a toll on what could have been an amazing career . His per’s are very nice , totals not so much .

I think 13 on up in for sure if their careers ended today. 14 and 15 most likely in too, as for Kendrick Perkins, how is he considered active and how isnt there 100 players with a better shot still playing?

Mo Cheeks shouldn't have gotten in.

If that's the standard then there's a lot of career 6th men who should get in, like Iguodala. Iguodala shouldn't get in.
