Tebow released by Jets

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'd love to see him on a team that ran the option. Some people hate him for the sake of hating but watching a team run the option in the NFL is kind of fun. His year with the Broncos was amazing, and they beat the Steelers in a playoff series that year. What would happen to this place if that happened here? The Jets were just a horrible situation for the way they utilized him. Basically, they had him there in the background, messing with Sanchez who already had a fragile mentality, then they just refused to play Tebow at all which just led to more media hoopla. What he would need is the right system in place, Denver sort of did it with whatever personel they happened to have at the time, but if he was given that, he'd be probably more successful than the past 12 quarterbacks we've run through here. Cleveland wouldnt be a good situation at all I dont think, its just too much to overhaul both sides of the ball in one year, but there would probably by a big upswing in christianmingle.com hits, maybe rivaling the farmersonly.com numbers.

the nebraska cornhuskers?

i think the airforce runs the wing T.

but i think youre right he would probably do pretty well on those teams, too bad he isnt college eligible anymore

Isn't the USFL starting up again?

He would be perfect to help them get the league off the ground.

I'd rather just see the guy play QB, he wins games. Some damn way he wins games.

Im not with Stephen A Smith on much but he hits the nail on the head with Tebow. He can't throw the freaking ball.

Like any Cleveland quarterback in the past decade has been able to. :chuckles:

Maybe this belongs in the WTF or Jason Collins thread...

I don't see how it's possible you could watch 3 Tim Tebow nfl games start to finish and conclude anything other than that he was one of the worst QB's in the league. Throwing wise he did almost nothing right.

:chuckles:

Tebow fans plea to President Obama in an effort to sign him with the Jaguars

Tebow fans have made a plea to President Obama and the story is topping headlines after CBS shared the details of the strange petition on May 5. Tebow's future hangs in the air now that he has become a free agent. Renowned quarterback of the Florida Gators, ex-player of Denver and now also the former New York Jets quarterback, was recently fired because the team has decided to take the services of Geno Smith, a promising young star from West Virginia.

Tebowlicious is now looking for a team that wants his services. At first it was said that the Jacksonville Jaguars would offer him a job, then came rumors he would join the Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins -- but in the end they were all pure rumors.

Now, Tim Tebow fans have made a plea to President Barack Obama, asking the commander-in-chief for his help to get the quarterback signed as a Jacksonville Jaguars player.

Tebow fans have started a petition to the president asking that he call Jaguars' general manager David Caldwell and order him to sign the quarterback for next season.

Furthermore, the petition requires that Tebow is guaranteed a starting spot on the team. The petition states that if the fans' demands are met, then it will be certain that all home games will be sold out.

The petition says:

"Jacksonville Jaguars fans want the team to sign recently released QB Tim Tebow. However, rookie general manager for the Jacksonville Jaguars David Caldwell is blocking this from happening. If the Jaguars sign & START Tebow, home games will be sold out, sales will spike, the team will win and the fans will be happy.Mr. Caldwell is ignoring lots of facts about the misunderstood Tim Tebow while in Denver: Passer rating of 125.6 is highest ever in Broncos postseason history. Most yards per completion (31.6) in NFL playoff history.100.5 QB rating is best ever for a Broncos QB in his first start.Third most passing yards in a game by a Bronco rookie QB. (308, in his 2nd start), First 15+ point comeback in the final 3 minutes of an NFL game since the merger,7 game winning drives in just 16 games!"

The Tebow fans plea may leave some wondering: Where did the Tebowmania go? Nobody knows, but what is certain is that Tebow is a free agent and apparently nobody has interest in the QB as much as Jaguar fans.
