The 2017 B1G Championship | #8 Ohio State vs. #4 Wisconsin | December 2nd, 2017 @ 8 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If you wanna put in Bama just be honest and say you put them in because you think they're better. Don't fabricate some fake ass resume. Fuck that. They don't have a resume.

It bears repeating:

Alabama football accomplished absolutely nothing this season.

If they try to say that's a top 25 worthy win then this system is broken as fuck.

Who knows if they'll look at it that way? It's a better win than beating Purdue or Virginia.

Ok, well I'm guessing they're having the same conversation we are.

"How much of the fact the Barrett sucked tonight was due to his knee surgery?"

"Well, he's sucked for years. Does it really make a difference?"

Man. You really don't like JT.

I get that he left some points on the board...I get that. But good lord dude.

6 days out of knee surgery, the guy put up 27 points on a team that gave up 12 points a game for the season, and individually accounted for 271 yards against a team that gave up 237 yards a game for the season.

I guarantee the committee isn't saying that shit at all.

I don't like any QB that can't throw down the field and holds the ball too long. And Wisconsin's defense isn't the same Clemson's defense, stacked with NFL players and a month to prepare. If the QB can't throw the ball on time, accurately, and beyond the line of scrimmage, he has zero chance.

Agree.

Only reasoning I will except tomorrow if Bama gets in over OSU is if the committee flat out comes out and says we believe they are a better team than OSU.

If they even make one mention of the resumes, it's BS.

I will continue to say it. 2017 Bama is 2015 OSU.

2015 OSU was a better team than most of the teams that played in the CFP that year. But that didn't mean shit, because they had a shit resume, and didn't even win their division.

Athletically, sure, I somewhat agree.

Statistically? Only team that was even close to Clemson, from almost every statistical standpoint...was Wisconsin.

And Wisconsin is always full of NFL players man...

Also, tell me how Jalen Hurts throws the ball down the field on Clemson too, after he couldn't against Auburn.

Apparently Urban is about to be on SVP on ESPN

Exactly.

I'm not a fan of 2 teams from the same conference going to the playoffs, without clear separation of those 2 from the rest of the teams. The debate should be UGA/Bama and OSU/USC. Two easy choices, imo.

I think J.T. deserves props, not bc of his play but he came in and directed the offense 6 days after surgery.

We have a shot versus anyone. Our best is just as good as anyone’s.

If the B1G champ doesn’t get in this year, that’s going to cause quite a bit of friction.

The bolded part is what I question, and even if I give you this point, a further concern would be that this team doesn't seem to want to play to their best except for in little 6-10 minute spurts every few games or so. When I watch teams like Clemson and Oklahoma and Georgia I honestly think to myself, "Man, even if the Buckeyes played great for an entire game, they would still beat us soundly." Even if the committee puts us at #4 this morning, I don't think we cluster up with others, I truly don't. I think the gap is more like this:

1a. Clemson
1b. Oklahoma

3. Georgia

4. Ohio State

Really, there are 3 deserving teams this year. Clemson, Oklahoma and Georgia. All 3 have a really good OOC win. All 3 got through their conference schedule with 1 loss. All 3 dominated their conference title game handily.

Alabama doesn't deserve to get in. They played 1 good team all year, and lost by double digits. Their 3 best wins are over a 3 loss team who lost to Troy, a 4 loss team and a team that lost to UNLV.

OSU doesn't deserve to get in, because they lost by 31 to a 7-5 team.

I'm not so sure it's in the Buckeyes best interest to make the playoff if I'm being honest with myself. I truly believe they will get TRUCKED by any of the other three teams.

They have a good chance of getting trucked by any team in a bowl game. Might as well have the potential to win it all if they don't get trucked.
