Dream Team 4: Golden State Warriors

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
kerr on his way back

knew it, another overblown warrior injury

fuck him

NBA will surely do nothing about this.

The Nba already announced that the call will stand as it was and that there is no need for discipline.

It looked like Pop wanted to avoid going this route (of the super-rant) but you could tell he was frustrated that the spurs blew a 25 pt lead.
I disagree with his assessment that Zaza is unusually-dirty, but he has infinitely more experience than I do with basketball, so maybe he is.

Having said that, if it was a Cavs player he was ranting against, I believe this board would accuse Pop of "whining" and there would be "it's a mans game" comments.

The only play Ive seen by Zaza that looked overboard-unusually-dirty was grabbing (I think) Leonard's arm and doing a crocodile death spin looking to break it off, in a previous season. That looked really horribly dirty. Unusually dirty. That was suspension worthy, IMHO.

Pop is looking to get any advantage he can, though. I think his hyperbole was calculated.

Pop coached Bruce Bowen. He knows it when he sees it.

There's way too much discussion about Zaza's intent. It reminds me of the Draymond Green ball kicking discussion. While the league needs to worry about and examine intent, they have dropped the ball discussing sloppy body control that fails to keep players safe, regardless of intent. When a player elbows another guy in the head, it's a flagrant regardless of intention. Everyone is comfortable with that ruling because concussions are just such a hot topic with the PTA moms. What about being in control of the rest of your body? It's equally dangerous to undercut an offensive player in the air as flailing an elbow after a rebound.

Reason I'm rooting for the Spurs.

If we were to lose in the Finals to them, it sucks.

If we were to lose in the Finals to Golden State, that's agonizingly bad and literally will sour our lives for the whole summer.

Pop coached Bowen the same move. GS should be afraid that Pop unleashes this move on their two bad ankled stars.

Dedmon should be ankle hunting the next game.

Zaza took two extra steps forward after already contesting the shot to cut under Kawhis legs, lol at people that say it wasn't intentional.

They were targeting his ankle because they knew they had no other chance to win the game or series. It was 100% targeted.

Let's say Spurs know they can't win without Kawhi but they're pissed at GS, do you think they go after Durant in an attempt to injure him?

I'm teaching a class right now, a rather taller kid said the Warriors are going to win. I said, sure they keep injuring everyone else. He then started whining about intent... then no less than 30 seconds later, he stuck his leg out to trip a short Asian girl walking across the aisle. That literally just happened.

Moral of the story: Dub Nation wouldn't know intentional tripping if it jumped up and slapped them in the back of the head afterward. Knuckle-dragging rubes...
