Dream Team 4: Golden State Warriors

Been watching a lot of Warriors recently. Am watching again tonight..

I know there's a portion of this board that has anointed them much like the media already has...

But their regular season success, I just can't really buy too much into it, people don't guard in the regular season. They just non chalantly toss the ball to each other behind the three point line and just jack up shots , or Steph tries to get all cute going to the rim off the glass, etc...

It's just not the way they will be defended in the playoffs/finals. The game changes so much.

I dunno. Crown em if you want. I think they're still soft and if we stay/get healthy I'm taking the Cavs in 6.

edit: Just watched Iguodala botch another easy fast break. He's been shook all year ever since LeBron became his father in game 7.

Cousins gets a lot of rightful flak.

But I'll say it again.... that dude...he is a monster. Golden State cannot handle him under any circumstance.

If we had Cousins next to LeBron and Kyrie, and I really think Cousins is just begging for a good situation to find him one day, I think we'd quite literally be unstoppable. Talk about this Warriors team being unfair...yeah they can shoot and score very well, but we would physically dominate everyone while maintaining a high level of skill. We'd honestly kick the shit out of the Warriors if we had Cousins.

Yea Cousins is such a hybrid. It's insane that he's a legit center doing the things he does on a basketball floor.

Supposedly he wants to be a King Lifer....

For $214 million or whatever is...might as well get the contract and then maybe force your way out later.

People act like KD has eliminated all their weaknesses.. the thing is.. adding KD while losing Bogut,Ezili,Barnes,Barbosa only pronounced their weaknesses. Only in the RS they can play their style freely wich masks their flaws.

KD always was prone to rather take hero ball threes than to systematically attack the rim when it counts. He fits right next to Steph and Klay.. All three forget how to do something other than chucking long Jumpers when the Game is close. They are still dangerous in that scenario because they are the 3 Best Shooters at their Position..

They still remain unflexible in their tactic.. they become much less scary in a low pace close Game.

As you said correctly this season more like any recent season no one really plays defense in the RS.. not on the level of a few years back..
But come playoff time this will change.. the Defenses will be physical,make them work for every shot.. and i really think Teams have learned that you have to attack Curry on Defense every posession.

They where a totally different Team in the Playoffs so far.. and KD does not change that. He tends to have good Playoff numbers overall.. but since 2012 he has done nothing but choke in the biggest moments..
And i dont think that will change against Lebron..
