Baker Mayfield: Fire The Cannons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Would be a shock if the Browns didn't have three primetime games, honestly.

I think they'll toss them a few on MNF. None will be on SNF.

The league gets gunshy about the "headline game" unless you have a winning record or were in the playoffs.

After the 2002 season? They put them on MNF against the Rams.

After the 2007 season? They put them on SNF against the Steelers

Not that a flex game couldn't very well be a thing but I don't think they're quite ready to give us the SNF game yet.

They'd stop putting mediocre NFC lEAST teams on SNF if they actually cared about the product. They want ratings and Baker is going to deliver tbose moving forward.

Call me stupid but I’d prefer the Nantz “hello friends” and Romo duo at 3:25 to McFarland and Witten on a Monday night.

*shrugs*
Call me stupid then too

MNF is cool and all, until the game is actually played and the announcers proceed to announce. Of course they took a very big hit when Chucky decided to get back into coaching, but they've still done a terrible job finding a new crew. From lead announcer to sideline reporter, every other NFL programming crew puts them to shame.

Put it like this, the MNF crew is basically what the Pro Bowl game is to me, I just don't give a damn. They don't excite me or entertain me.

If this were Gruden/McDonough? It's even to me.

I don't understand the mindset in putting together this crew though. I really despise them all.

You have Steve Young and Randy Moss chilling during the pre-game show. I'd love to see Moss in the booth, that guy would be actually fun.

I love when Moss gets chances to speak. He’s funny and seems honest. I like Young, but he’s not a deal breaker for me.

Feels like they’ll get more than 3.

Everyone gets a Thursday game. So that’s 1.

I think they’ll get one SNF and maybe two MNF.

Rams, Ravens, Steelers, Jets and maybe Cardinals all seem like possibilities to me.

If the Browns are kicking ass then NBC can flex them into Sunday Night.

Browns are at Patriots next season. Baker Mayfield vs. Tom Brady. There's a primetime game.

Jim Nantz predicted that Browns at Patriots will be the top CBS game of the week either week 1 or week 2 with he and Romo on the call.

If it week 1 it will be the Thursday night season kickoff game that’s hosted by the Super Bowl champs
