I love what Baker is (so far) as a player and leader for the Browns. I will happily admit I was VERY wrong about him going into the draft. That said, I REALLY wish he would just ignore Cowherd and stop giving him air. You don’t get rid of people like him by engaging, and I wish they’d stop acknowledging his stupidity. Part of me wonders if there’s an Ali/Cosell agreement going on, but then I realize how unlikely that would be.

Based on his last comment I’d say probably not. You generally don’t use the phrases “abuse of power” and “liar” for people you have friendly agreements with.

I think Baker genuinely wants to change the way media works and he thinks he can do it by kicking these guys in the nards when they’re dishonest.

We’ll see.

Baker also uses things like this as self-motivators. Rather than being an actual distraction, I think these kind of things are just part of who he is, so I don't have a problem with it.

As fiery as Baker can get, at least he composes his thoughts in an eloquent manner - very rarely does he say something that feels foot in mouth. While he reacts passionately, it doesn't come off as impulsive. I think he's a bit of a media darling in that regard.

Is he guarded? Not by any means but it's entirely refreshing to hear, IMO. He has essentially become the mouthpiece for this team and it's obvious he has galvanized his teammates with his attitude.
