The Curious Case of Bryan Colangelo

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You know that thing is a gargoyle in the morning when the air brushing comes off man!

Looks like it was his wife....

3 of the "burner" accounts were set-up using her e-mail address and her cellphone number.

I don't know if that absolves the situation, because a lot of petty/nasty things were said. It's a bit reminiscent of Jane Goodell going on twitter to defend her husband Roger.

I just don't get why people think shaping the opinion of people on twitter is the end all, be all. The small chance you may influence a "haters" opinion is not worth the risk of being "outed" and publicly humiliated.

Philly sports radio saying fire Colangelo and hire Griff to bring LeBron to the Sixers.

Funny stuff.

You know, I wonder who the anonymous tipster was on this. It took a lot of sophistication to find all this. One thing I've always wondered about -- Edward Snowden demonstrated that random NSA employees have tremendous, almost unlimited access to all kinds of internet traffic. (I think he found one guy using it to monitor his ex-girlfriend). Think if you were an NSA guy who was a sports fan, you could crack in to all kinds of stuff including private emails. You could get up to a lot of fuckery.

Just a thought, I know it's far fetched....but is it?

I personally love the "it was Sam Hinkie's revenge" theory. No idea if its true. No inside info on this debacle except stuff I cant even post....

Basically at this point it looks like his wife is gonna end up taking most of the blame and he's gonna lose his job over it. But the wife might be falling on the sword so he can maybe get another job in the future instead of being blacklisted for life.

You’d be surprised at the software readily available to gather this information and spit it out in a 5 minute report.

Not completely related, but kinda, with all the burner accounts created on the internet (from Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, etc) it’s common practice to use bought software to increase user views to generate additional revenue when you sell your views to potential advertisers. I’ve know multiple people who bought “viewer increasing software” to help their brand grow.

In this instance, it was almost a reverse process. They took the standard Philly followers and reverse backtracked to several accounts.

It’s just not worth playing games like this on the internet anymore....Especialy on Twitter of all places. Trying to change opinion of a few hundred people isn’t worth this level of embarrassment.

Honestly, Colangelo should have been fired just for trading Jayson Tatum plus a 2019 lottery pick for Markelle Fultz. Seriously, that's a firing fucking offense.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the Sixers ownership had a hand in the background work it took to get Colangelo to resign.

The NBA essentially forced Colangelo into the role bc they were tired of “the process”.

Colangelo is the definition of nepotism in the sport......you can point to a few good things he’s done throughout his career, but ultimately, he’s not GM material. Nepotism is sports is a real thing...and it’s not good.
