The Dog Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hannah had a lump in her neck.

I cried when I found it this morning.

I researched it and I don't think it's cancer, but I'm obviously going to take her to the vet.

Love your puppy today. They might not be here tomorrow.

Our female pyr has a bunch of fat deposits. Feel it and see if it's hard and watch to see if it changes size. Still obviously get it checked out but try not to worry too much.

It's hard. But I spend almost practically every waking (and sleeping) hour attached to her, I didn't feel it yesterday..

That's inconsistent with cancer, and she's only two.. I'm trying not to freak out but preparing myself a little bit just in case.

Health concerns always seem to come on the weekends when vets and docs are out :/

This was Panama's first Christmas back in 2015. I probably should have posted his around X-Mas. Let's revitalize this thread.

Germans make such good dogs.

So I graduated and my dog is endlessly extroverted and energetic and needs activity.. I'm forced to look at jobs and she plays a big part in what I do. I don't see locking her up 9 hours a day working.

How do you guys with 9-5s make this work

I mostly work from home so it's not really an issue for me, but I know a lot of people around here either hire dog walkers or put their dogs in daycare. The main problem with those, obviously, are that they are kind of pricey.

Do you crate her when you're not around? If so, I'd look in to trying to get her to a point where you don't have to. I've just recently started leaving both of my dogs out when I am not home. I used to crate them both, then moved on to letting the boxer have free reign while I was gone. I moved into a smaller apartment, though, and didn't really have a great spot to put my dog crate, so I just experimented and left the shepherd out too. He's done fine thus far. Absolutely no damage to anything and no accidents, even a few times when I've taken the boxer over to the girlfriend's place and left him home alone.

Anyone experienced with flying dogs?
