The General Terrorist Rampage Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If the Pentagon labeled it "workplace violence" and Obama just went along with it then I was mistaken. There have been other instances where this has happened, though.

I don't disagree that sometimes black people are targeted for being black, but this wasn't a case of that. Why choose Mike Brown as his example?

You're drifting far, far away from the point.

Donald Trump is not only unwilling to acknowledge this as terrorism, he's unwilling to even acknowledged it happened AT ALL.

We don't know why he hasn't said anything though. Perhaps he wants to wait until the investigation is complete to address it.

Thankfully nobody was killed, and perhaps that's why nothing has been acknowledged. I can't believe that the president would condone an attack. Also, perhaps this is classified as a hate crime and not terrorism?

He retweeted a story which his own UN Secretary decried as classified information this morning, a day after deriding Richard Blumenthal for his military service despite receiving 5 deferments himself.

So forgive me if I scoff at the thought that his response is being measured.

Then perhaps he doesn't think it's important enough to respond to. No one was killed, and no one was hurt. If it wasn't for this board I wouldn't have even known about it.

I know, that's sort of the problem.

Unless Mark Levin pens a column on it, I don't think the media you seem to consume would be that interested in someone bombing a mosque on US soil.

Thank goodness it wasn't a Christian center, otherwise the indignation from conservatives would be through the roof.

So you were equally outraged that Trump did not comment on this story at any point?

How much time did you spend Googling to find this?

This is the story of an angry parishioner using violence to get revenge, this has nothing to do with terrorism or religion.

I'm not sure why you would even equate the two situations.

But we didn't know that until the investigation was carried out and they found the guy that did it. Prior to finding the culprit and his motive, the President should have denounced this as a terrorist action. That is what you are saying about the Mosque bombing, correct?

I'm saying the FBI and governor have called this terrorism, and the President has yet to mention it.

I'll leave you to continue drawing your false equivalence and strawmen.

Strawman? You literally said this:
Thank goodness it wasn't a Christian center, otherwise the indignation from conservatives would be through the roof.

So they've decided this was terrorism without having any suspects and without knowing the motivation? For all we know another Muslim did this to try and get sympathy.

I'm sure they thought this was terrorism when it first happened too.

Strawman? You literally said this:

You literally didn't understand I'm talking about terrorism? If terrorists had bombed a Christian center the same way terrorists bombed a Muslim center, we know how the reaction would go.

Stop wasting time with this. It's not remotely the same, and I think you know that.

So, you're saying Muslims bombed their own center to try and get sympathy? That's REALLY the argument you want to go with, over the FBI's idea.

Cool.

Good talk, guys.

A devout Muslim set his own mosque on fire so it's not really that wild of a proposition. Of course, you don't want to recognize that happening so you ignore it. It's the FBI's idea that it was terrorism, but they don't have any proof of that. It could be another situation like the one where the Muslim set his mosque on fire.

Or there's this Muslim professor making up anti-Muslim threats to gain sympathy.
