The General Terrorist Rampage Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Baller isn't commenting on any of this insinuation. He's commenting on what he said he was commenting on.

Trump’s comments about taking out families was in response to a question about the Middle East, not Florida.

So that would lead me to believe he is wrong in either case.

If he was discussing the belief that other Muslims or family members are aware of terorrist activity, that would also be a false narrative as well, as I posted above.

I seem to remember another Trump quote where he talked about people seeing bombs being made, or otherwise seeing an attack being plotted, but staying quiet. Maybe I'm off on that. My point was that, imo, someone out there often knows about an attack being plotted. It's not even about Muslims, just terrorists in general.

Yes, thank you.

This is the type of xenophobia I was referring to.

He just said it wasn't even about Muslims but terrorists in general.

He isn't taking issue with people from other countries as terrorism doesn't require foreign actors and he doesn't have issue with people from other countries if they aren't terrorists. he didn't even mention people from other countries at all.

The only thing he's taken issue with is terrorism, and has gone out of his way to say it isn't about Muslims.

What makes this xenophobic to you?

Um, okay man. If you know someone is about to slaughter a bunch of people you should probably say something. So, ya know, a lot of innocent people don't die.

What makes this xenophobic to you?

Trump has never said this about people other than Muslims.

Never once said that terrorism is committed by anything other than Muslims.

So, not much else needs to be said here.

Trump isn’t correct, that’s not what he was alluding to when he said “going after their families.”

I’m open to further discussion if you can provide the quotes from Trump.

This isn’t what Trump was referring to.

Trump was suggesting that there are sometimes people within a particular Muslim community who may not tell the police if they suspect someone they know is going to do something wrong. I think he's suggesting that some people may have sympathies for either the person or the cause, or believe it's some kind of betrayal if they rat them out.

I don't personally know if that is true, although it wouldn't shock me in the least. Not because that is something unique to Muslims, but because being perceived as turning on one's own people is frowned upon in a lot of social/cultural groups.

17 kids dead today in another school shooting. 19th of the year, and it's only February fucking 14th.

There have only been 18 school shootings outside of America in the last 20 years.

I blame Trump.

There is no one person to blame, it’s out cuddles society and not teaching people how to deal with issues.
They are now taught that others are the problem and everything will be great. Fake news

The list of politicians and how much money they get from the NRA is crazy. These people getting their pockets lined by the gun lobby who are all, "My thoughts and prayers are with the victims" could be actually doing something about the problem, but that sweet, sweet cash in their coffers is more important than the lives of their constituents.
