The Joe Thomas Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Grave dug this thread to shout him out for representing Cleveland perfectly on NFL network last night.

Almost nailed the score also.. Was 1 point off.

Joe Thomas has a truly irrational soft spot for Hue that rubs me the wrong way, but I still love the guy.

lol I was gonna say this the other day. Like Joe we love you but he has unconditional love for Hue and I try and pretend like I don't hear it lol.

Joe was tremendous. Havent been following what he’s done so far. Has pre- half and post been all he’s been up to? No color yet?

I feel like he’d be a really strong color guy.

At halftime he said something to the effect of "Yeah I think Baker is going to be great, but I've been burned by rookie qb's many times." I LOL'd. And so did Michael Irvin.

The national networks like to hire guys who played in the NFC East. CBS had Phil Simms as their #1 color analyst and he sucks. Joe would be a major upgrade over a lot of the dudes currently doing games.

Dude would be elite in a booth. For some reason I was watching the Bears play the Seahawks on Monday night and Witten was terrible.

Speaking of which I’d seriously pay a negligible dollar amount to have heard Brett Favre’s audition since he couldn’t beat him out.

Witten is pretty knowledgable but you can tell he's a little green. I think he'll end up being really good once he gets a few more games under him.

I still wanna see Peyton in the booth. He'll be the perfect combo of knowledge, humor, and arrogance.

Yeah, probably. And I think Manning will end up being a front office executive instead, but that’s just my opinion/feeling.

Could see irsay giving him a big position once they clean out what they have going on there

He actually interviewed for MNF and lost to Jason Witten. After 3 games of Witten, I'm going to say that ESPN made a huge mistake.

They just got Chris Ballard last year. He's not going anywhere.

Booger McFarland has actually been better than I expected. Him and Witten should switch spots.

Any word on whether Alex Jones is still being considered for the second MNF games next year?

Agreed, Booger has been excellent. I feel like they need his constant commentary just because Witten gives them so little.
