I did not watch the game but in the highlights I see him 3 times going to the top of the key to get the ball and either shoot or create from there. He also went down low when Zizic got the ball. I don't recall him doing that before and looks like it opened up his game a lot.

Those top of the key shots were a product of the heat playing the zone. I still think the best part of his game was that the shots were taking within the flow of the game, I really didn’t see too many that he simply forced.

Certainly not a great shooting game from Cedi especially in the second half. But unlike his bad shooting games earlier in the season he still was productive finishing with 17-8-2-2.
For some reason, he gets really 3pt happy at the end of close games when he should focus on driving more.

They did a great job cutting off his drives and he was wide open. Should have hit 1 of those

Chicago's game plan was to contain Cedi. Held him to only 17 points -- 10 points below his two game season average.

Mission accomplished.

Cedi's going through one of those series of games where he looks like a future all-star. He started like this, had a long lull, started looking good again, but then followed by a lull.

It definitely feels like he's improving, especially regarding playmaking. He needs to make sure his handles stay consistent, but overall, pretty promising.

He finished with 26-4-7-3 and could have had 30 if he just made 4 more free throws.
He should have even had t been brought back in, during the 4th I have no I de why Drew didn't stick with the bench unit + Zizic which was doing fine.

Best stretch of the season for him so far in the last 4 games.

3 "+" games (20+ game score (via bball reference formula)), 1 "decent" game (10ish game score).

It's not just the scoring. He's rebounding/assisting/generating steals at a higher rate, while keeping turnovers respectable. Over the last month or so, he's been improving his paint finishing (also, he's been getting to the line more and shooting pretty well, sans tonight)... Now his three point shot is looking solid.

15/31 from 3 in the last 4 games. That's high volume and high efficiency. Eventually it will lower, but still, good to see.

Encouraging stuff! This is still with him playing primarily at the 4, while he's adjusting to it, I think he would be better off guarding a different position (2 or 3).

The name of the game is consistency. If he can continue even half a good stretch as this throughout the rest of the season, that's a good sign.

And damn, do we ever need these kinda signs for this season O_O.
